First of all thank you for the exceptional post and your insight because it is valuable and don't see it very much around here these days. Second of all, I think our gameplan for USC on defense is going to be much different this season then it has for any other team. We have had two weeks to prepare and actually think our front 7 on defense is going to be the big key to our success. Kapron Lewis Moore, Ethan Johnson, Manti Teo, Steve Filer are the players I will be looking to this week to make big plays. I don't think they will blitz as much unless its during situational downs. I think we will see much more 8 men fronts to try to contain the run as much as possible and make Barkley beat us. Special teams in my opinion has improved 100 percent since they have made the changes to go to Freshman K Tauch and P Turk thank God for that move. Turk has been a huge upgrade for our Punting situation which I feel was still one of the main reasons that we lost the Michigan game. Not having Michael Floyd this week is definitely a huge loss and if we had him I would be much more confident, because I think he is the best reciever we have and probably a top 3 in the NCAA. Golden Tate has stepped his game up since he has been gone, and I think we have adequate enough recievers such as Parris, Evans although hes only a Freshman and Kamara. I'm not too worried about that, I honestly think that Clausen will be able to move the ball up and down the field on USC. There are several things I've seen couple holes on the USC defense that I think they can exploit. We will just have to wait and see. I think we will be able to slow down the pass rush with our screen game, and Rudolph have we ever had a threat like that at TE, I mean we've had some great ones in the past but anyone with the potential, hands and speed and route running as good as him I think not. A big misconception about our defense has been that they aren't very good, which I agree they have not. Now I think they are gaining some experience, confidence, and they haven't been that great of a tackling team thus far but I see a lot of that starting to change. Now I know USC is 10x better than any team we have faced thus far this season. But as I examined USC's defense and team in general I really don't think they are that great. I think they have plenty of holes, and I don't think they have played any kind of offense like ours. Wouldn't be surprised if we had a couple tricks up our sleves for this weekend either. I don't think we hold anything back, I'm worried the damn team might be too fired up. They have showed me a lot this season, I didn't honestly think that the season would go this way, but I'm kinda glad that it did. I love the way they have played this season, even though they have played less than good most of the year they still claw back and find ways to win. Which is the first sign of a good football team. The thing I really like about the team and why I think we have a great chance to win this game is our Offensive line. They will give Clausen time to throw, and he should be able to do some damage. I just think if our defense eliminates huge plays that we can really pull this one out. Our offense should be fine, I think Special Teams will perform well enough....I'd really like to see Tate do something on a Punt Return, Riddick has done well on Kickoffs so far. We have to eliminate mistakes put a full game together, I don't think if we make a few mistakes that it will really hurt us that much personally. I don't think USC's offense is going to be that tough for us to handle, where we don't get a few 3 and outs and punts and such. I think they play great. Taylor Mays man the dude is ridiculous, and a terrific safety. Would love to have this guy. We really need to keep him away from the ball because he makes plays. I think we will be able to spread them out. I really think the Wildcat will work against them...don't be surprised if we go to that formation 10-12 times this game. I think it will work as well. Don't be surprised if they let Tate throw it out of the formation. They won't hold anything back, this is the biggest game in the last decade for the Irish. This would go a long I mean long way for our program. It would be one of those wins where in 4 years win we are a top 5 team year in and year out, you'll say damn that win was huge. Because there are several players I mean several 18 or so recruits on official visits, and you know there will be a couple on unofficial. This win will put us back on the map for a BCS game. If Clausen pulls this Win out, I firmly believe he moves to #1 for the Heisman, now not only would that be great for Clausen it would be tremendous for us. Because we haven't had a player win the Heisman in 20 years, thats remarkable for me to think about and then a player says well yeah of course I can go to ND, play for a National Title win the Heisman those types of games. I really think that ND comes out and is physical on defense, I wouldn't even mind a couple personal foul penalties if they are smacking people around. I just hope they don't tuck their tales and play some fucking football Saturday, and everything will take care of themselves. Believe in Now, Believe in the Irish. This is our time, they are going to do it my man. We need it, We Want, We need to want it more. I'm pumped now, I'm so damn pumped I got tears coming to my eyes. I'm ready....
