Well I know betting large spreads on the road usually lose. And you still fail to mention how well a first year qb did against this vaunted Bama defense; Hunter in the Big XII is a much better RB than either Richardson or Ingram. Speed rules supreme in the NFL and Hunter has much more of it than either of those two but since he plays on a middle tier team no one really follows him.
If you think laying close to 4 touchdowns on the road is a recipe for success than go for it. I dont expect Duke to stop Bama but I do expect Duke to score at least 3 touchdown vs Bama and that will be more than enough. College football is 40% emotion 40% talent and 20% coaching versus the NFL where its ALL about talent. Thats why you dont see 24 pt spreads in the NFL and double digit spreads are not seen often. GL on your play until Bama plays a GOOD team ON THE ROAD, then we will see how good Bama is. Your home games are games that you should win handily but getting up for each game is hard; GL

The reason you don't see 24 point spreads in the NFL is simply because there is not any one team that is 24 points better than another team.
As for your assumption that emotion counts as much as talent in CFB, all I can say is ... are you outta your friggin mind?!?!?!?!?

That's one of the smarter things I heard today. Saban is running this team very much like a pro team. Virtually everyone he recruits are pro prospects. He runs a very complicated pro-style, assignment defense. And he runs a pro-style, smash mouth offense. He has theis team just playing at a different level right now, and I don't see it changing anytime soon.
