Kiffin has to prove a point! Look what he did in last years season opener against W.Kent Hill 63-7! Hawaii inst mush better, I'll have to take USC! On the fence with Norte Dame/ Purdue!  I Needs some thoughts on that one..Thanks!!!

The Chargers have signed fifth-round draft pick QB Jonathan Crompton to a four-year deal, according to a league source.

Crompton was selected 168th overall out of Tennessee and was evaluated closely by several teams before the draft. Chargers coach Norv Turner is a master developer of quarterbacks and has enjoyed great success with both high and low picks.

Last year for the Vols, Crompton threw for 2,800 yards, 27 touchdowns and 13 interceptions with a 136.0 passer rating.

welcome back Bads- are you already locked on those numbers--looks like MTSU is at + 4 and NIU + 4 at several shops,,kind of on the fence on USC - Hawaii ,,I would have to think that number will go to 21.5 or higher by kickoff being the last game of opening nite and the trojans being a huge public team,,plus if there are lots of folks chasing by that time of nite who knows how high the number may go - I'm locked on southern miss at + 14 and expecting the total to get up to 47.5 at some point in time,,will probably take a nibble on the UNDER when it does --- I'm  locked in on ECU at + 9....LSU - 1 and Boise - 2.5 --lets get this party started and GL this year Sir

how does western kentucky have anything to do with this game? lol they went 0-12 su in the mighty sun belt last year and are 2-22 su their last 24 games, that may have been the worst d1 team to ever grace the field.  some of these high school teams on espn could have beat them.

This might get lost in this comical thread but here it goes. Nice write ups on your plays but I think my biggest concern for Hawaii is the fact that their starting center is injured and a walk on is now taking his place. If he doesn't perform, the Trojans will be able to put to much pressure on and the passing game will become irrelevant. Throw in the 40 point drubbing by Wisconsin and Boise last year and I find it hard to believe that Hawaii is that improved. However, the USC players may be out late looking for some Hawaiin snatch and show up to the game hungover. I'm sure Kiffin will be right there with them on sniffers row.

Great to see you back this season BL!!!  I won't have any money riding on any of the games you are playing, but I did consider playing the total on the Southern Miss/USC game.

USC should have an outstanding defense again this season, but what concerns me are the number of passes that are likely to be thrown.  Southern Miss's offensive game plan will be to try and keep USC's defense off balance and winded with a very fast paced no-huddle offense.  I can see Spurrier dialing up his fair share of pass plays as well, especially if Southern Miss finds the endzone a few times.  That's not to say this game goes over, but it sure has "long, pass-happy game" written all over it as I see it.
