love the play Badlands...I've seen more cappers base their bets on the point of SEC vs Big East. This is not a way to win money in college football. Auburn's offense is bad no matter who they've played. Their defense will keep em in the game but a couple of break outs could cost them the game.

Bad, I was trying to find a reason to go the other way tonight, but I can't. IF Auburn could have won this game at the start of the season, they can't do it now with all the injuries they've sustained - have you seen that list?? WOW. Nothing is a lock, but other than SOS, I can't find anything that points to an Auburn win.

I originally posted a couple days ago this would be a no play, but There's nothing that I hate more than having to pass on a Thursday night game, let alone two of them. New Mexico/Air Force came right on the number and I'm leaning heavy towards WVU, but it came about 2' pts shy of making it a play. But after more thought, I'm on WVU -3 small tonight.
Auburn has had trouble stopping solid running teams this season and their rush defense numbers look slightly better than reality because they shut down weak rushing teams like ULM, Tenn and So.Miss. They are still a good defensive team that can get turnovers, problem is that they turn the ball over themselves even more (-3 #82). The offense is struggling. Not only were they outgained by over 200 yards by Arkansas, the defense and special teams kept them in that game by returning a KO for a TD and recovering a fumble on a kickoff in the 3rd Q on the ARK 24 to set up their only offensive TD. The only other offensive scores were 2 FGs on drives that started on the ARK 25 and 19 yard line, but the offense could do nothing (actually lost yards) on those drives. West Virginia and Pat White has been good so far at protecting the football, but the defense is still young and learning and they are not producing TOs themselves. Devine is going to give Auburn trouble..he's similar to Arkansas RB Michael Smith, a small, quick scatback who ate up Auburn 2 weeks ago and he has improved as the season has progressed into a serious workhorse. QBs have had some success running the ball on Auburn as well...not a good thing going up against the best in White. Haven't been impressed with WVU defense though, and that scares me with them in this game. SOS about the same, slight edge to Auburn (-1). I expect a close one....

About Pat White, he is notorious for taking a hit, and going to the bench and crying like a baby, he has done this numerous times in big games on Nat'l TV, including Thursday nights. As much as I like him, he will be getting hit several times tonight by Auburn's D. Having said that, I think Auburn's D will be better than WVU's once high-powered offense...I'll take Auburn and the points in a low (under 38) scoring game. Oh, and I like AF and the Over...gl all!!
