Whether it was good or not who knows, doesn't matter now it's over.  What I'm surprised about is that no one is mentioning how "the powers that be" iced the Boise kicker.  They were just about ready to kick and all of a sudden a booth review?  All of that just to add one second?  Like a second really mattered there, I had a feeling he would miss after that happened.  I found it really strange that they would review just to add a second back to the clock as Reno had no timeouts of their own.  Just sayin.

Yes  As a matter of fact, I would like to thank you for reminding me of those fans.  Right as the ball crossed outside the goal posts the fans started celebrating.  Even before the refs could have made the signal.

Just more solid proof to back my argument and to discount yours

As we sit around watching games and posting on internet forms, just think about how hectic a day it is for the Brotzman family,,,,

They have to try and find some sucker to unload their, soon to be burned to the ground Idaho home to and I mean quick-like,,,  Then they have to arrange one way transportation to their new home in the greater Sparks/Reno metro area.  And even though once at their new home they'll have more than enough help,  we all know what a pain in the ass moving is no matter what.

Plus poor Kyle has to go through all this with a grade II concussion,--  closed eye, broken nose, three cracked ribs, and a punctured lung.

I for one feel thankful to have a relaxing day off today.

i don't blame the kid at all...

Come on ,,,,,,,Really????   Honestly?????     You don't place any blame on the guy???  He shouldn't carry even the tiniest, littlest amount of fault/blame in that loss?

I hope your congregation tithes and then adds 5 more percent when the plates  are passed around,, because you Father are a very forgiving man.

They reviewed it to see if he caught the ball before time ran out. When they reviewed it they saw that he caught the ball with 2 seconds left, so they added another second to the clock.

Your point is a good one. It is the entire team that lost. The offense could have scored a TD in OT and that would have been that. Why send out the same guy who seconds earlier had missed a big moment?

The defense failed them on 3rd down from the goal line...

But...the job of the FG kicker is to make those FGs. He corkscrewed his body instead of squaring up. He aimed his body and leg for that right upright--and most of the defenders were right there. He has some blame, but not all of it.

I believe PTSD and therapy await him. that's where I am today at 63 years old. I fucked up one day, one time, out of 365 days of shit in Vietnam. I was 19 and it still haunts me everyday and /or night at almost 64. no American death was involved, but I gave the Vietcong a chance to waste our whole squad.  'never get out of the boat and never go on patrol higher'n a mother fucker on Thai stick'  I was lucky I wasn't  wasted by my own brothers.

remember, these players are just kids playin a game and he looked to be about 14 when they put the camera all up in his face, but unlike the Cam Newtons of the dirty under the table world of college football world, this kid will never experience a standing ovation every time he enters a class room. my daughter has a class w/ Newton, she told me it happens every time he shows up for that class.

as for the next level for this young man, 'forget about it. damn, the kid destroyed the legacy of that program. it all came tumblin' down on his leg, what could be worse? he could walk into a Alabama bar or honkey tonk high on Thai stick and yell ,The Bear was queer and took it up the grocery shoot with his houndstooth hat on..

Remember, you were 19. Just a kid yet you were brave enough to be over there protecting me while I was still in diapers. You are a hero and as you said, no lives were lost because of your error and you should focus on all the positives you did for this country by protecting us.
