I think TCU is the best team in the country. I think TCU would be Florida or Alabama. I will take a STRAIGHT UP bet when TCU plays one of these teams. You started your rant by quoting BWillis. DID YOU NOT READ WHAT HE SAID???? Again and last time, he said, TCU would lose to SEC champ loser by 2TDS. His remarks are what prompted your post, so give me the 2TD bet as well. Obviously, you're not confident about that and are a complete coward. BOL to you..
I am not the one here saying Bama or UF would dominate TCU and would in no way give you 14 points in that game... You can take that up with Bruce who actually said that... I am asking you that if you feel TCU would dominate whey not take a SU bet with them against UF or Bama?? Sounds fair to me if that is what you honestly think....If not it just makes you look like a moron for starting this thread

am i seeing that Koko wants (+14) with either Bama or Florida vs. TCU? that's pretty ballsy, man...
i think i would take TCU at a pick'em against the loser of the SEC title game... but i would prefer to get them at (+7) or so... or maybe a +250 ML play... sounds nice to me!

I hate to be a dick, but do you guys truly realize the talent difference between TCU and UF and Bama? They would literally do nothing against their defenses, people think just because Bama and UF aren't scoring 35 a game that they aren't the best teams because u see TCU putting up pts.. You cant beat those teams putting up 3-10 pts, because thats all you are gonna get.

Florida and Alabama would totally dominate TCU at the line of scrimmage. It would be men against boys. TCU QB would be running for his life the entire game.

No you are not seeing that.. I am telling Jwyoming that I will take the SEC loser against TCU in the Sugar Bowl game straight up since he said they would dominate them... You want to take that bet also since you think TCU would dominate Bama or Florida??

Lucky to go 6-6? I agree the SEC is toughest conference...but what are you smoking? The only teams TCU would have a CHANCE to lose to are Florida or Alabama....TCU would beat LSU, Arkansas or Auburn on a neutral field no question about it... The SEC is way overhyped this season as there is no dominant team in the conference...And by dominant I mean beating people by 30+ every week...which NO ONE has done...Shooter you can have any team other than Florida and Bama...and I'll take my chances at a neutral site with TCU...
Ah, but in case you haven't heard, we dont play on a neutral field in the SEC. you have to go to a couple of the teams that everyone thinks you should beat, and the game is sold out 100% of the time, and it is a much tougher game than it is perceived to be. that is how the SEC works. it doesnt matter who would win on a neutral field. because there is no such thing in conference play, with the exception of florida-georgia. and by the way, bama is that good of a team, they just dont play the style of football to beat everyone by 30+ every week. thats not their game. florida from last year was something that doesnt come around that often. they played ridiculous in the second half of the season last year. bama doesnt play that way. they arent a quick score offense. they play tough, pound the rock football. the score of their games doesnt always indicate how much they dominated. sometimes it does, like against florida last week, but not always.

Bama was one quater away from playing in the national championship game. Then all of a sudden they are playing a non-BCS school in a bowl game. To say they weren't exactly up for that game would be an under statement. On the other side, that was the biggest game in Utah football history.
You obviously don't know much about college football. It's one thing to have months to prepare for ONE opponent. It's another thing entirely to have to play an SEC team every week. If TCU played in the SEC they would be lucky to go 6-6.

i don't think TCU would beat either of them... not this year... because they are too young... but if they get a chance with an experienced team next year against an SEC powerhouse i like their chances... hopefully we'll get to see it so we can all find out once and for all...

c'mon boys....this crap TCU is all of a sudden as good as ANYBODY in the SEC / B12 /PAC 10 ......poof! here they are...makes ZERO sense
as stated before...the key factor is NOT....could they beat anyone on a given day ?..........SURE they could.........but rather could they SUSTAIN a top level of play over not 1 or 2 games....but 4,5 or 6.......
NEWSFLASH,,,,,,,check their big games this year......SET UP perfectly.......agree they did kick ass tho toughest game .......@ clemson TEXAS ST / SMU sandwich @byu?......col st / UNLV utah ??.....San Diego St / Wyo.....both on the road
here's their toughest stretch last few years.....
this year.....@ clemson.......smu.......@ air force * clemson strong now...not so great THEN...lost to maryland the next week.....mustangs lost to wazzu.......air force solid team....frogs won by 3
'08.....stanford......@ smu.......@ OU * stanford 5-7......smu 1-11......sooners great team (frogs played well)......still lost by 25
'07.....decent run here.....@ wyo......@ stanford.....utah.......n mexico....@byu * oops.... frogs went 2-3 in this virtual murderers row .... wyo a 5-7 team (won by 3)....stanford 4-8 (frogs won by 2)....utes 9-4 (beat frogs by 7)....lobos a 9-4 team (tcu won by 37!)....byu 11-2 (frogs lost by 7)
you get the idea.......considering the above....let's give them s caro's schedule.......see how they do.... . (frogs are no doubt better this year)......CANNOT project a night and day transformation though......lil' realism won't kill ya....
@ NC St nice win @ Georgia close win......probably FAU solid win (ol miss in 5 days) Ol Miss toss up......i'll be generous give 'em a W S Caro St.......................................... Kentucky tough as hell win @ Bama ass kicked here (remember have already played 3-4 tough games) Vandy solid win @ Tenn close.win .....vols off bama @ Arkansas LOSS
Florida.......then Clemson........gonna give frogs 1-1 here
** to me 9-3 is probable...if slightly generous......if get ton of breaks 10-2 possible.....as is 8-4..... * boise wouldn't make it thru alive....wouldn't have enough to field a team by week 12 * remember their (isolated) tough /physical games .(they get to rest!)...allows them to be fairly healthy throughout the year......depth would be a SERIOUS problem later in the year with tougher schedule......great team.....no way in hell could step in to SEC and sustain this level of play over an entire season .....as they shouldn't
The impediment to action advances action - what stands in the way becomes the way.

TCU is DEFINITELY not as good as the SEC elite. How can you compare BYU for competition with Florida, LSU, Arkansas, Alabama etc... TCU is just very, very LUCKY to have the BEST College Football coach at their helm leading that program. Gary Patterson teams play solid defense and special teams. Their offense focuses on running the football and sound coaching principles. Any school would love this guy because he recruits solid reputable players too. And some go to the NFL ala LT!

Gents, Frogs are the real deal....trust me......you'll see in the Fiesta Bowl and you realize next year when they return 17 of 22 starters.
Last year, they finished #7 lost 5 players to the NFL draft, yup, more than any school in Texas....yes, that includes UT...fools....
this year they had to start at #18 (mis-judged by the media blow-hards) and work their way up to #3.
They'll lose 3 to the NFL this year, all on defense, and watch the frogs start outside of the Top 10 again (which would make no f*cking sense since they have everyone on the #4 ranked offense back) and work their way up to #1, yes, #1, when they'll actually get a chance to play against a BCS team....in the title game.
Enjoy the ride, get a clue about TCUs program.

Westvil- TCU has a great "team." They are extremely well-coached. Patterson as you point out, sends really good players to the NFL i.e. Schoubels, Hughes, some very good talent. I just think there is much better talent, not coaching in the SEC. Having said that, TCU deserves a chance to show the big boys how great they really are instead of playing Boise? for the umpteenth time. THey could handle cincy but I would love to have seen them play Florida! Remember when they drilled USC in the Sun Bowl as 21+ dogs. Patterson is the BEST D-1 coach out there. We are lucky to locally watch such a great program. Awesome D, strong smashmouth running attack, great special teams, EXCELLENT coaching!!
