Soft- because they dont BLITZ, or hit the QB in the mouth!! They come out slow (especially in late games) see TT and OSU last year, and KSU and UTEP this year!
Vanilla-- Because every 1st down they run up the middle,Second down bubble screen, 3rd down pass!! and they NEVER Go for it on 4th down, or onside kick!!
Does any team have fewer 4th down and onside kick attempts than OU the last 10 years ???
Im sure you guys will fill in the rest...get me some play by play of OU since 2003!!

Also...Stoops is good at getting recruits through the door!! Just not good in big moments, or at night (WHEN MOST BIG GAMES ARE), he got the sooners through the door in 2000.....He will not win another!!

They didnt have a chance at the N.C. game anyways...Oregon and Bama dont look like they will lose....USC cant stop anybody on Defense, and LSU and UGA will be cakewalks for the Tide!!

I just know this. I remember Sooner teams that would dominate on Defense and execute high-risk high-reward offense against average-good teams and then snatch victory from the jaws of defeat against premier teams when the game was on the line. What Boise State did to Oklahoma in the closing minutes of that Fiesta Bowl loss 5 years ago was what the Sooners used to do on a regular basis. I still don't tire of watching that game clip Sooner loss because I so admire that dynamic style of play that has been missing from OU for too long now.
I'm sad. This coach....and I can't even bring myself to say his name anymore is a disgrace to the legacy of a team that was at one time the epitamy of Magic. That Sooner Magic that I remember is long gone. They named them the Sooners for a reason. Because they would do whatever it took to win meaningful games. Living on the edge. Taking big risk for big reward. And rising to the moment in championship game settings. That's the legacy I remember being so proud of.
