I am a long time canes fan myself and actually had a few hundred on them in last weekends game. I don't necessarily feel like im lucky i won, however i watched most of the game and Johnson made some very brash decisions on some fourth and short opportunities once around midfield and once well within field goal range. Two very big momentum swings and the canes capitalized like they should have.
I think you are unfortunate to have been swept up with all the Clemson hype like most of the country, however i think if you look a little closer you might realize that a lot of what has happened for Clemson has been rather lucky turnover wise up to this point in the season. Not to mention catching FSU with the scrub backup, not saying FSU is a powerhouse by any means but Clint fuckin Trickett threw for 336 3TD 1Int!! Not to mention struggles with wofford whom i thought only existed in college basketball, didnt even know they had a football program. A few key red zone turnovers/INT by UNC last week along with a fumble and INT going for 6 and the scoreboard definitely doesn't display the actual talent disparity that is on the field, just untimely mistakes turned into points as they should be.
Some other things to consider are the fact that the offensive production while maybe not as flashy, is just as if not more potent than the vaunted Clemson offense. Tech averages 20.8 first downs per gm with an average of 7.2 yds per play. Their offense is ranked 17th in the nation and 5th in rushing. Clemson averages 23.8 first downs per gm with a 6.2 yds per play average. Clemson's offense is only ranked 15th overall, 39th in rushing and 14th in passing. The only reason people feel Clemson has such a better offense and should run away with this game is because they've had two straight games where the scoreboard looks like it should be from a Houston cougar game! The option looks by Ga Tech will be a big problem for the Clemson defensive unit.
Defensively Clemson is extremely weak. Again it was early in the season but struggling with wofford giving up 27 and allowing a Boston College team without its best RB come in and put 14 on you?(shoulda been more but FG's were a moot point in the 4th qtr) Also Troy with 19? Overall this team is 60th in defense, 69th against the rush and 39th against the pass. The fact that Tech is 17th overall offensively and 5th in rushing, i don't really see there being much of an issue exploiting the Clemson D by pounding the rock and controlling the line of scrimmage.
Bottom line is this sir: I will gladly take take a stab with the Tech bees @ home in GA catching points to a luckbox of a team that if they dont win the turnover battle or have a conference usa type affair, will more than likely lose to a QUALITY conference team that can actually defend the pass along with control the clock on offense by just beating you down, play in play out and quarter by quarter. I don't how anyone can believe your nonsense whenever you only have 90 post's..like who the fock are you...I hear some of your garbage picks and it makes me want to puke...First off why are you even capping these games...whisky vs ohio st..what a crap game..ohio state could only score 10 pts against illinios..com'on man, Ohio State stinks...I wouldn't touch that game cause that's a popular game amongest the public...If your a legit capper like you say you are, there are way better games to capp then the shit ones you said...I'm an avg capper making a decent amount each week nothing to brag about but i am in the black...maybe put a small play in on your games but if you want to make money this week here's who you go with...
Marshall vs UAB....I watched UAB play and they are god awful..marshall is -6 and that is a solid play...the bookmakers don't put much into these type of games cause they know they won't get much action on saturday given all the other games...
The other game is Michigan vs Purdue...Purdue is god awful...there coming off a homecoming win against a piece of trash ron zook illini team at home last weekend and now they go into the big house against a well rested and coming off a loss michigan team...denard robinson may run for 200 and throw for 400...
Read between the lines and find the gems that will payoff...get rid of those scrub games ur going to wager...you'll lose in the end..

Hey 4thdown, I agree with you on the Wisconsin game.People are saying that Wisconsin will bounce back and win,which will be true.But,not by more then 9 points i say.Thats why I'm taking Ohio state plus adding 3 points for a more than safe cushion at +10. I look at the Mich St. loss as more of a demoralizing loss for Wisconsin then a wake up call.Wisco will win but by no more than 10 for sure!
