My daughter was attending Westminster College in PA that Fall. When the news broke of an airliner crashing in PA, I envisioned a plane crashing in her dormitory. Incredible what races through your mind when a tragedy can get personal. I've been through many events as the deaths of the Kennedys and MLK and the tsunamis in Japan and Indonesia, all these events were filled with horror,sadness and resolve. We will remember as we look back as well as we look ahead.

Hey Boom great writeup. To Barrelledln and Joe Washington. There's an old saying once an A-hole always an A-hole. Guys like you make me sick! You 2 morons need to explain what your purpose is for constantly bashing Boom. I served my country from 1966-1970 and was proud to do so. Do you 2 idiots know what it's like to watch friends and loved ones die. I doubt it! It's apparant you think only of yourselves, and you respect no one and furthermore you obviously have no self respect. Boom is proud to be an American and I'm equally proud for fighting to give him that right. One of two things is certain with respect to you to imbecils. Either daddy gave you everything or you're trailer trash and rely on Uncle Sam to take care of you. The day will come AND IT WILL, when you will look back and realize just how much of an A-hole you really are!!!

I was there 10 blocks away on the West Side highway through the entire thing. Thanks Boom for the kind words and I share many of your thoughts.

There are a lot of people who have flags (you receive a flag from the military when a family member is buried by the armed services, felt compelled to add that fact since you seem ignorant as to why we pay tribute to those who fought and died for our freedom) on the mantle of their fire place who would not appreciate how you feel about this. Sure i'm nobody, just served for 8 years, did 3 combat tours in Iraq and received my combat medical badge (you receive this when you help a fallen comrade while taking direct enemy fire). Don't be disrespectful if you have nothing nice to say, then say nothing at all...
