I am going to toot my own horn just a little here because it is rare that I cap a game as well as I did the MSU/Auburn game. From last week's thread:
Let's go ahead and get this one out of the way:
MSU -6.5 vs Auburn
No play. The Tigers looked like shit against USU, plain and simple. However, they found themselves in a tough fight and found a way to win, like last year (USCe< Clemson, Bama...). They know how to win. I am not saying Auburn will win or that they will cover the 6.5. MSU looked good against Booker T. Washington HS. The MSU O and D line will probably give Auburn trouble. If Auburn has not found a D this week and learned how to tackle, it could be ugly. Look for a more "see ball, get ball" approach from the D this week. Can MSU stop the Gus Bus? I expect a high scoring game Saturday. I'll take the over.
Ok, so enough there. Here is what I am thinking at first glace:
LSU vs MSU +3.5 I will wait til this line goes up and probably play MSU
BSU -18.5 vs Toledo
Auburn +3.5 vs Clemson Small, if any action. I think it may go up
PSU -9.5 vs Temple
Kansas vs GT -15
Wisky -16.5 vs NIU (Soldier Field)
Tennessee +9.5 vs Florida
Michigan St +5 vs ND
Navy vs USCe -18
North Texas +45.5 vs Alabama BIG game on deck with Arkansas
Troy +24 vs Arkansas See above
Like I said, these are just leans

Also, I said "Small, if any action". Are you just coming in here to bash Auburn? If so, please don't waste my time. However, if you have something useful to add, please share. I looked for your plays from last week but couldn't find them.

Not sure why everyone is over looking the fact that LSU has owned this matchup.. 15-1 SU and 12-4 ATS vs Miss St since 95'
LSU -3 = Easy money
Main reason is miss st won't be able to establish their good running game against LSU's run defense.
Agree with LSU at -3, however, would you still take them at -4.5? That is what my local has and I do think they can cover, but man is it dempting to take MSU with that line.

Yeah I jumped on it right when my guy opened it up.. moved to -4.5 so fast.. I still like it. LSU has owned this team. I still like it.. but I obviously like it better at -3 :)

I like the Wiscy / NIU overs .. NIU is solid ATS & is returning 9 starters on offense. Oregon St was w/ out their top RB last week, which made a huge difference. Wiscy is very very good & im definately not betting against them (last week they were my 4 unit play.. largest play of the year for me).. I will be looking at the over when the totals come out =) But, I think wiscy covers that spread 70% of the time (or more)
Love Mich St this week, Im on them as well
I like the North texas play.. I mean Bama wins this game easily (obviously) but 45.5 points.. They basically need to play a perfect game on both sides of the ball.. and im sure the scrubs will be playing in the 2nd half.. I like it for a small amount
You have any idea of what the GT / KU total will be? Might be looking to jump on overs in this game.. both of these offenses can score
Boise is money as well.. im on them.. BIG
Lets get it this week man! Best of luck! Love the plays!

At first I though that lsu line was a vegas special but that lsu line is low because lsu likes to play ball control on offense. They will be satisfied with leaning on their defense in this one and doing just enough on offense but not to much to where they risk turnovers. Time tested road strategy in the sec.
trackem I think Auburn is going to run away with it this weekend at Clemson. I feel strange saying that as our defense is like a wet paper bag but Clemson is running the same offensive system as Auburn(one of Gus's assistants) but this is their first year of it. Should be a track meet but we will execute much better on offense than the other tigers.

Hope your smart enough to know football is played season to season and past years have nothing to do with this season. That being said LSU's defense should stop their run game but playing in the cow pasture of Starkville is tough when the cow bells are ringing. Miss State played poorly last week and still should have won the game. They will be ready for this game because it determines their fate for the West race. LSU is coming into this game over confident and their young D will give up two big plays costing them this game.
Dan Mullen will have the dogs ready and Miles will be eating grass.
State will pull off the upset in the last minute of the game winning by 1

Hawgs4itall2011- Yes, you are very correct. Football is played season to season. And, in the past 15 seasons LSU has beat this team all but once. And has covered the spread 12 times. But, yes, each season is different.

I hope you are right, but I'd like to hear your reasons, besides a new O scheme.

@apeterson8809, sorry I think my comment came off as being a smart ass, but what i was meaning was that Mississippi State is a totally different team than they have been in the past. A winning season has been hard to come by in Starkville. With that said I still believe LSU is the better more talented team but the Bulldogs have a lot better chance this year than the past 12 seasons. They have a Coach that "I believe" is a lot more talented than Miles, and they have the hunger to have a winning team. They know if they don't win this game then any chances for a great bowl are gone. LSU has a great D but they are young and I believe if they get down from the gate then they will give up big plays trying to do to much. I might be a little biased being a ex-Razorback that played during the 98 season when Stoerner fumbled the ball for us to beat Tennessee for a chance to play for NC. I say played when I really mean I set on the bench and watched as the walk-on 27th string QB. Hey at least Im honest. As a Hogs fan I want the Bulldogs to go in and take care of business for us so we only have to beat Bama. Not going to be easy with the looks of our running game but any SEC team can win every game. Good luck with your bets but I hope ya your wrong on this one!

I will be glad to elaborate on what he means by "luck".
Maybe he means Auburn was lucky that the Ref was so blind that he could not see the daylight that was there between the ball and the yardstick on 4th down that allowed Auburn to score their last TD.
Or maybe he meant Auburn was lucky that the Ref was so incompetent that he refused to acknowledge Mullen trying to call a time out before the last play and making mullen run 40 yds to get in front of his face. The ref even looked pissed the Mullen was interrupting his game. I've never seen anything like that in my life. Then the dumb ass only put 3 seconds back on the clock. About 10 seconds ran off.
Or maybe he meant Auburn was lucky that they didn't get a helmet spearing call on the last play of the game when Miss St got one called on them at the end of the 1st half that put Auburn in field goal range.
I could go on but I hope you get the message.

Oh, and one other thing, why were so many Miss. St. lineman getting leg injuries. Made me remember the Chaz Ramsey/Booger McFarland incident a few years ago. LSU fans were convinced Auburn was being coached to do that on purpose.
And don't even get me started on how Auburn "stole $$$$" Cam Newton from MSU last year. And I would rather have my house built with balsa wood than yellawood. I just hope that one day what goes around, comes around!!

ccbulldog - exactly who's fault was it that Mullens had to run across the field to call a timeout? Why were the State players not calling timeout? Those wasted seconds off the clock could have been prevented, had the players been paying attention.

It was Mullens' fault. Had his team unprepared and this is just poor coaching. Your kids need to know the situation at hand. It is your job to tell it to them, to practice it with them and to beat it into their heads. There were also plenty of play stoppages where they could have discussed this.
Blame has to go to Mullens on this one.
