Week 7 in review:
1. UGA's red zone offense is not as great as it should be. They drove down the field on every drive just to turn it over or a kick a field goal. Play calling was very lame.  I thought this was a top 5 team after last season and early this season but the more i watch them i think they are probably more of a top 15-20 team.  I think that Jeff Owens being out on the DL and Sturdivant being out on the OL is certainly hurting them.  Defense seems to give up big plays ALOT.
 
2.Miss st played very well with Tyson Lee under center.  Defense played exceptional last week and completely shut out anything Vandy was trying to do.  Should be a good team to play on next couple of weeks because i think they are clicking on offense now.
 
3. Not so sure about Vandy after a tough loss to Miss st.  Got to be concerned about them losing to 1 of the 2 worst teams in the SEC.  If they had lost to a good team it would be a different story, but for a team that has a great history of losing, they may just go back to that after losing to a team they should have easily beat.
 
4.Arkansas played very well, Casey dick is a serviceable QB but he is a  bad turnover machine. Michael Smith, the running back is only a freshman and he is very good, i mean VERY GOOD.  Fade Arkansas may be over now, well we will see.  If they are catching alot of points @ kentucky im going to be on them. There offense can move the ball, they moved it on Auburns so called amazing defense up and down the field on nearly every drive.
 
5.I think we see who the top teams are in the SEC this year.  LSU is good, not great.  Florida IMO is the best team in the SEC so far this year, which hurts me to say it. As i expected there offense magically looked great in the big game.  They also have the most favorable schedule for the rest of the season to run the table. If they get past UGA i think they end up with only 1 loss going into the SEC championship game.
 
 
Alright well lets see what we get with the lines this week.

Good call on Florida.  I thought that LSU would come out and dominate the trenches, but they just played like a bunch of pussies.  As stupid as it sounds, I think that first Harvin TD deflated them.

I said that in response to you saying Florida looks like the best team in the SEC thus far, LSU just isn't that great IMO, that last second win over Auburn really does nothing for me, Florida just exposed an overrated team

Wahoos- based on what ive seen by all the teams, Florida is the best IMO.  Georgia will have trouble against them with as many problems as we have our on our O line and D Line. Not generating any pass rush either.  I dont think we win the cocktail party either, Florida looking for revenge after last year.
 
Troe- To be honest i think LSU got deflated when they got off the plane in Florida. Got exposed for what they are,i think they will beat Bama though.

I actually think that Tennessee is a good play this week.  Letdown spot for the Bulldogs, @ Neyland, Tennessee's defense is no slouch, and Stephens is getting a little confidence at QB for the Vols.  If the line is under a TD, I'm all over the Vols.

I believe SC upsets LSU this weekend.  Not so sure you can call it an upset though.

Georgia's OL took another hit...the injured OT, Vince Vance, is reported to be lost for the year.

I just read it about Vince Vance out for year, nothing official yet though.  He is not as big a loss as you would think though.  The guys behind him had as good a shot as he did at winning that spot. not nearly as big a loss as Sturdivant was.  It will hurt depth though for sure.

Couple of things when looking over stats after last weeks games:
 
1. Arkansas's top 5 receivers are all averaging over 10 yards/catch.They also all have over 10 catches
2. Arkansas had 400 yards of offense against Auburn and LSU had 398 against Auburn. Bottom line is Auburns defense is as good as everyone thinks. Especially since there offense cant sustain anything better than a 3 play drive
3. UGA is giving up 11.1 yards per catch to opponents
4.UGA is ranked 8th in the SEC in total defense, Tenn is ranked 1st
5.Miss st is ranked 2nd to last in rushing defense, Bama, uga, lsu are the top 3 in that order
6. UGA, Arkansas, South Carolina are top 3 passing offenses in that order
7.UGA's pass Defense is 2nd to last. The top 8 passing defenses in the SEC are giving up less than 200 yards passing /game.
8. Vandy leads the SEC in defensive interceptions.LSU , UGA, ARKANSAS make up the bottom 3. Vandy also leads the SEC in defensive sacks. Ole Miss, Auburn, Florida follow vandy.
9. Matt Stafford is no.1 in the SEC in total offensive yards. Tebow and Casey Dick follow him.
10.Michael Smith leads SEC in All purpose yards/game

Agreed.

Admittedly, it took me a little too long to see it, but it really puts into perspective aftere LSU and Vandy were both down 2 scores, lost the starting QB, and won with the backup.  Now with Arkansas putting everything together against them last week it just makes it look that much worse.  I was too late for LSU and Vandy, but I sure am glad I saw it in time to cash in on Arky.  Certainly, some of that is the offense putting them on the field for 2/3rds of the game, so they should improve as (if) the offense improves, but until then, it seems like they're going to choke away leads every week just from getting gassed late.

G8RB8- The thing about it is the lines will probably take that into consideration now that it is a widely known thing that Auburns Offense sucks really bad.  They announce the O Coordinator fired and that makes it even more known.  May be bitiing the bullet here later in the season and taking Auburn. Im a little concerned about Miss St. But i need to think about this before i make a play on this game.

dyounger... good luck on your plays man.  It was a wild weekend in the SEC.  Can you give me your thoughts on Rutgers -1 because I think UConn should be a 6 point favorite here...

Woopdurritis- That was my thoughts exactly, UCONN should be favored by 7. 
 
Rutgers is 1-5 and UCONN is 5-1.  Yet Rutgers is favored. Alot like last week where Vandy based on perception should have been favored by 7 points but it opened as a pickem.  This isnt a play based on stats or any thing other than what the line is. Think this seems to easy to UCONN who is 5-1 catching 1 point against a team that is 1-5?
