SEC teams try to take care of business in the Bowl games. Already it looks like the SEC will monopolize the top ten for 2013 pre-season polls. Programs are ALWAYS looking ahead to next year to keep their programs vital. PAC 12 will be ranked very low outside of Oregon or Stanford (both w/ freshmen QBs). The SEC gets a lot of sad incapable opponents. ESPN is tied in $$$ with the SEC for future bowls (tv deals), so whatever ESPN can do to help their "affiliated partners" in the SEC, of course they will do. NBC is tied in with ND. Don Criqui and ND for the next 100 years probably. If the Big Ten wants to take a chunk outta the SEC they need to win these Bowl games. Mich and Nebraska shot themselves in the feet like they've done all season and we knew would happen. But safe to say, Ohio State and Penn State were outta the picture this season. That miht have changed the outcomes. Ohio State beat Mich and would not fold away against a So Carolina. No it's not a conspiracy. But it is PIRACY of money and attention, and it is by design (on purpose) because it's a business. ESPN is a partner with the SEC. If ESPN were tied in with the PAC12, we'd hear of how great Oregon and Stanford are ad infinitum.

I acknowleged your points. My point was both Oregon and K.St had their chances, too. If either one of them didn't fold, there wouldn't be an uproar at least to this extent right now.

I really don't get the point of this thread and all the SEC related threads over the season. This is a gambling site. All I care about is who is best ATS that day.

Hahaha is the OP the biggest goon on covers? For a guy who "watches the most college football of anyone" you sure don't know jack garbage about the sport. Did you actually say the big 12 is the best conference? HAHAHA. They legit play NO defense. None. Big 12 is trash. I'm from NY and its clear as day, the SEC is the best conference and it's not even close. The big 10 is trash. Slow football from the 1940's

How are the SECs better teams doing this bowl season??? Luckily for the SEC Alabama will bail them out vs a ND team with NO Offense and NDs best player (Teo) would be 2nd string at Bama!!
Florida vs Louisville- LOSS
LSU vs Clemson - Loss
Miss st vs NW- LOSS
2 BIG wins vs Little 10 teams!! Nebraska and Michigan

What about Texas A&M? Do they play defense now all of a sudden that they are in the SEC? But last year they didnt because they were in the BIG 12?
After watching Louisville slice through the vaunted Florida defense yesterday Im starting to think that its not so much the defenses that are great its the offenses that are mediocre in the SEC.

Statistically, they are. It also largely due to the type of offenses they run. I still remember that a lot of SEC backers last year said how A&M would be destroyed in their first year in the conference.

so one bad game and that makes the defense bad? florida didn't show up plain and simple good for them. but dont tell me because of one game their defense is bad. their defense made florida state look like a 1AA school

Let's see- SEC is 3-3 in bowl games. About as expected from me. Although I thought LSU would win the game against Clemson. I knew Florida was somewhat of a fraud with that terrible offense but the Cardinals domination did surprise me. By the way I took the Cards and the points. I still think the SEC is the best conference but definately not "dominant". I still can't see why all the hate for the SEC. They definately don't suck. Big 12 had a good year but in the end I would still take teams that play solid defense over teams that play no defense. Different strokes for different folks.

Not that it Matters ...Bama is the only good thing in the SEC right now!!! UGA cant beat the west, USC will never get there, LSU is on the downward spiral, Arkansas and Auburn have fallen off a huge cliff!!!
