As for the slipping, apparently, the story is that their cleats' shipment from Nike came in yesterday. However when TCU tested, they noticed the slipperyness. Unfortunately, they forgot to bring their spares are stuck with these shoes today. So thank NIke for making TCU slip around the field.

Imagine if TCU could be faster today?

You got a whole quarter to go.  Plenty of time.  Don't forget the 24 point 1st Q.  Plus 4th Qs are typically the highest scoring quarter in college football.  But I am not hoping for a TCU score here.

do they not call helmet to helmet contact on the QB in the college game?  Twice on the last 2 series, the wisky QB has been banged in the helmet by a TCU defensive player.
