Big Ten football so who cares. Until they get some real players from the south, their games are too slow for the average fan. Two yards and a cloud of dust is for old people.

The crowd was great early, but it didn't matter. True to my word, I am back from the game this weekend and here to say I was dead wrong and also to give props to Ohio State and those who said they would win easily on this board. You were 100% right.
Keep in my mind if you read this thread - - I always maintained that OSU was the better team, but I thought the crowd would help PSU pull this one out. I was wrong.
I overrated the PSU defense and overrated the effect of the crowd on Boeckman. Boeckman was sensational, Tom Brady-like accurate. OSU played as good a game as it could in such an environment and was clicking on all cylinders. They are an excellent team and deserve their ranking. Their play calling, their defense, their poise - - all characteristic of a championship-caliber team.
Penn State will never again achieve such heights until they clean house, and I mean clean house. No one on the current staff should stay nor do they need to stay. It takes much more than a raucous crowd these days and tired old schemes. You need better players and better coaching. This game showed me just how far behind the Ohio State and Michigan Penn State is right now as a program.
Congrats to Ohio State. They deserve respect. I'm not saying this is a juggernaut OSU team - - in fact, I don't think they are. However, they are one of the best teams this year and they deserve their ranking and are worthy of a national title shot. They are terrific.

I always hate when the Bucks have to go to Happy Valley. I went to an OSU vs. PSU game there 10 years ago and still easily remember how insane of an atmosphere it is. I knew how good these Bucks are and even I was impressed last night. Either way though, class act coming back and posting this.
And as shocking as it is to me, I have not seen any OSU haters since last night. I thought their would still be tons of excuses why they're not good or shouldn't have won or whatever, their always is.

In our 7 trips there since 1993, PSU has scored 10 points as its highest output and held to single digits the other 6 times. We have stupid gameplans that have no guts, especially in Columbus. At least you guys have won a few times at PSU.
As far as the OSU haters go, I think you will always have haters with teams that have a national following due to a lot of alumni all over the country and especially if that team wasn't thought of as national title material before the season. I also think that a lot of the hate you see has to do with not just that but because of the controversial ending in the championship game with Miami in 2002, the Maurice Clarrett stuff and him getting to play in that game and OSU getting pasted as favorites last year in the title game. Like I said, every big time school will have haters. That is just how it is.
One more reason this year is that there are no household national names on OSU (except for Laurinatis) like last year with Troy Smith and Ted Ginn, Jr., etc. If people don't know the team, they will hate, too.
When a team wins like it did last night, convincingly, on the road, against a decent opponent, you will keep the haters away for at least a week!
