Ohio St Buckeyes, Best Team Ever?

The more I watch the season go on, the more I am convinced that Ohio State is going to pummel LSU if they play.  Anyone else sense this?  You think for one second that Jim Tressel, the BEST BIG GAME COACH IN AMERICA, is going to let his players forget about last years NC for this coming 5 weeks off before the big one?  You think any of the remaining players from lastyears team are going to be lax in their preparation as they were last year?  Never going to happen.  Our preparation for the big game will rival our armed forces preparation for war--you can count on it.  LSU is going to run into a pissed off, chip on their shoulder, angry, bigger, stronger, and faster Ohio State this year.  Ohio State will DEMOLISH LSU this year---and that's not to say that LSU isnt any good.  They play good football.  This years LSU is over acheiving in my opinion, as they have had the more talented football team against all of their competition but play down to some of that competition as well.  Les Miles Vs. Jim Tressel?  Forget about it.  Who are we trying to kid?  Cant wait to see it!!

i'm kind of hoping LSU drops a game somewhere... they are not the best team in football this year, and they are no guarantee to beat Ohio St... and i sure as hell don't want to see Ohio St go undefeated and have to hear from ignorant aOSU fans talking about how they are the greatest team ever...

if you want to see OSU lose in the title game, you should be rooting for Oregon to be there at the end, or at least Oklahoma... actually, best of all from a bettors perspective might be WV... i could see WV getting double digits against OSU and whipping their ass... but Oregon would definitely beat them, without a doubt, so that is the matchup i am hoping for...

Actually, GOG--I think you are right that WV poses the biggest threat to Ohio State.  That would be a better game thank I think you may think, but WV can win that game.  I really think that if LSU gets there the BUckeyes will smash them and I'm not bashing LSU but they are somewhat overrated this year because of the SEC teams' inflated rankings....Oregon, I can't really say.  They are lights out also, but I think the Buckeyes are slightly underrated by most of the public.  They are stomping their opponents (and no, Michigan State was NOT that close of a game) like #1 should.

Lots of OSU haters out there.  I love the criticism of the OSU schedule.  It's completely ridiculous.  No one out there knows that OSU would be mediocre in the SEC b/c NEWSFLASH . . .they HAVEN'T played anyone in the SEC this year.  See you in New Orleans.

LSU has been a very lucky team, and inconsistent, and these types of teams rarely end up with winning streaks or in the NC game.

yeah I guess it would be impossible for a big 10 team to beat an SEC team, whatever, this year the SEC is just a bunch of average teams beating up on each other, but according to you idiots overall mediocrity is dominance.

Look LSU has to make the game first, and do you think they'll keep getting lucky? I personally think LSU would do good in the Music City Bowl, or maybe the Capital One Bowl. LSU was hyped like few teams have ever been, and you suckers bought the hype. And Kentucky is not a top 20 team, they lost to a horseshit Miss St team, so you lost all credibility. By the way chump, how have you been doing betting on LSU this year? Lsu doesn't cover most of the year and now all of the sudden they're a lock.

Any one that wants to bet find a local or bet on the internet or whatever, I don't bet with people I don't know or chumps in another part of the country. I realize some of you that have been betting on LSU are in the hole with your locals, and were cut off from action, but I don't take action from people with no money.

Let's compare LSU's Defense to OSU, we know OSU has the #1 defense in the country, Last 4 games for LSU they have given up 31 points per game, WTF?? In Conf games LSU is giving up 22 PPG, OSU is giving up 12 PPG in conf.

When they played Kentucky they were. Look if you want to call people names like " chump" then so be it. I've thrown no insults your way. No need comparing defenses when you play, Akron, Wash, Northwestern, Minnesota, Purdue, Kent St., Michigan St. and Penn St. Let's not forget Wisconsin which you were losing going into the 4th quarter. That's some potent teams Ohio St. has played. Put Ohio St. in the SEC and I guarentee your defensive numbers go up. Who is it Ohio St. plays against in there conference championship game?   Also all you have to do is send in your money to KOAJ and he will send out the winner there money. He is well know and trustworthy enough and I'm sure he wants a little of your money also.

-4 against LSU?  well I could see that.  I don't actually like LSU for a lot of the reasons you said.  I do beleive the SEC has some great programs but I do think that they all are beatable by the OSU team this year. 

I would have to say it will come down to OSU vs.  KU if they can win out or Oregon.  LSU will either lose again this year or struggle and lose face. The LSU QB stinks and that will be painful sometime in the near future. 

I think if I were an OSU fan I would root for Kansas to win out.  OSU will be able to manhandle KU, Oregon would be a lot tougher but I like OSU against anyteam in the nation this year.

dapook, one thing I will agree with on is LSU's weakness is definitly at QB and he scares me, but if LSU wins out it will be LSU/ Ohio St. in the title game. I'll gladfully take 4 points any day but I think your off on that number. Remember the game is in New Orleans and the LSU people will play a huge part in that game if it materializes.

BIG TEN         (2)  wisc, penn st.

 vs

SEC               (1)  fla

some people forget this.  I do feel that top-to-bottom the SEC is a hell of a lot better but lets ease up on the the Big Ten bashing.

I hope LSU gets to play OSU .  So it can be another SEC dominated game again.  Just like last yr.  OSU fans talk talk then shut up once OSU gets crushed vs a real opponite.
