I still think OSU needs to win out and win the NC to be considered one of the best teams ever in CFB.  I think you would have to give most of the teams that have won a national championship to be considered in that race.  Regardless, I would have to say they have been unbelievably impressive this year after losing a Heisman tropy winner as QB, a 1000 yrd rusher, and 2 first round WRs.  I mean come on guys, you have to give OSU some credit here.

Everything Gabby said is correct. Yeah we have some doubters but I am pretty confident that OSU will destroy LSU or whoever makes it to the NC (sorry looks like LSU is the only SEC team that will be in the top 10) After the NC we can talk about great all around teams right.

Look, Buckeyes are not gonna lose to Wisc. Now Mich is always a tough game, and plus it's at the Big House, but the OSU is on a mission guys. They're not gonna get sidetracked by illinois, Indiana, any of those teams. They do have Mich's # under Tressel, that is a fact. Jump on the OSU train or continue to hate, the choice is yours.

What's at hand isn't a bashing of teams and their conferences...it's about how stupid of a topic it was.  Give it a rest.  They're not the best team ever.

Yeah the Buckeyes lose a ton of guys in the draft each year, but they just keep reloading and their Defense continues to get better. OSU has to be the top program overall the past 15 years because teams like FSU, Miami Fl, OKL, have had some down years over that period.

The 1995 team was great. They fucked up in Michigan. They were 9 point chalk and couldn't get it done. Would have been nice to see them play for the NC, although they couldn't play Nebraska heads up because Big 10 was in the Rose Bowl. But goes to show you if you screw up a game at the end of the year you may be out of the BCS game. Without the playoff system it makes every game important for good teams, for USC it was a big game vs Satnford for example. Adding a playoff for 16 teams or 12 teams would take some of the emphasis out of the regular games because the playoff teams would almost be preordained and if you had just 1or 2  losses as a team like Texas or USC you'd be in the playoffs.

This is bullshit, the OSU owns Illinois and will continue to own them. Once every 15 years Illinois has a decent team then the Buckeyes destroy them in the end of the year. Make no mistake, the conference is ruled by the OSU, with Michigan PSU, or Wisky a not close 2nd, and things are not gonna change. Every few years a team like NW has a run, or Iowa, or Purdue, where they win some games and alumni start popping boners for them, but let's be realistic here.

Look GF Who friggin cares that the SEC is or isnt superior to all other conferences.  That isnt the issue.  I like OSU's chances this year because they wont be matched up agains any team from that conf in the BCS. 
 
OSU will get BC,Arizona St.  or Kansas if they win out.  BUT that will not let them come close to the title of best team ever.  Hell they might not even be the best team this year but if they win all the rest of them I have no problem calling them national champs.  You cant ask them to do anymore than win all of their games.  And if they do....well thats more than LSU and Oregon can say.  .
 
If OSU and LSU were playing this weekend on a neutral field what would the spread be?

Of course that is why squares lose and oddsmakers don't. If OSU keeps killing teams then they will be a great all around team, you can't deny it.

Are you sure abot this statement?  Take a breath and ask yourself this...

If you beleive that OSU would be favored over LSU how many points would you give?

I don't know any oddsmakers so I can't ask them.  So since you are so sure that OSU is that much better than everyone else how much would you lay to the percieved best team in the land, LSU. 

I am not so sure that LSU is the best team but that' what we get without a true playoff.

I am just wondering if he will give an honest answer to what he thinks the line would be on an LSU OSU BcS championship game.

I would be willing to lay -4 to LSU, even if the game is in NO. We'll see what the line is, against LSU, Oreg, Kans, I can guarantee that OSU will not be an dog this year, and LSU is totally overrated and only perceived to be the best team by whiners in the SEC, who realize LSU is the only hope for the SEC to even make the BCS NC.

OSU opened up as +150 to win the Nat title, which has no value, you can just bet the M/L in all of their games and do much better. LSU is next choice at +225, the ORG at +500, but seriously LSU may not even get throught this weekend as a top 10 teams, then we will hear SEC whiners complaining that their 2 loss teams should have a shot at the NC.

OSU has won or tied for the big ten championship in 6 of the last 20 years, Michigan has 10.  u really have a lot of credibility
