we shall see when the Buckeyes kill Mich, and then in the BCS bowl. LSU, Oklahoma, Oregon, these teams have no chance. And if you want to say the Buckeyes are dogs to any of these teams then fine i will love to take them on the M/L.

Bullshit on the Pac 10, let's look at their teams
Oregon, lost at home to an overrated Cal team.

USC, lost to Stanford, has played like shit the past month. they did beat ND soundly though, not sure how much that will mean.

Cal, incredibly inconsistent, now just an average top 25 team.

ASU, haven't played anybody. Easiest schedule in the USA so far

Oregon  St, great D, too many losses though

Stanford, UCLA Arizona, Wash ST Wash, all garbage

So you have 2 good teams, and then 2 kinda good teams, and 6 shitty teams. How is this strong top to bottom? The fact is that there are a lot of mediocre and inconsistent teams in the BCS conferences this year. That is why the Buckeyes stand out. Look at the SEC, so many of the teams are average that any team can beat anyone any given week. Besides the Buckeyes and Hawaii which may be unbeaten, there may be a bunch of 2 loss teams lleft in the top 10. Does a 2 loss team get in the BCS Champ game over Hawaii?

Alright, seriously man, just stop.  That statement has no credibility, you aren't fooling anyone.

It was fun while it lasted, this thread has run its course.

Anyone who doesn't think OSU is the best team ever is truly a douche.  They just went in and beat one of the nation's best teams and most potent offenses in Penn State, who has a potential Heisman candidate under center.  They dominated in a hostile environment.  This is easily the best team I've ever seen.  That 95 Nebraska team would get embarrassed by the Boeckman train.

And top to bottom, the Big 10 isnt even close to the SEC (and I'm a big 10 fan), Ohio State would come out of an SEC schedule with a minimum of 2 losses.
ohio state plays usc next year, then usc goes there. they also play miami, and virginia tech in the next 5 yrs, they will beat them all. Ohio state is by far the best team ever. One of the most dominant teams in the last 50 yrs of college football.  Best fans, and best fucking stadium and game time atmosphere. Last yr was a fluke, the lay off killed them, if they played on 10 days rest they roll the florida ainters

ohio state plays usc next year, then usc goes there. they also play miami, and virginia tech in the next 5 yrs, they will beat them all. Ohio state is by far the best team ever. One of the most dominant teams in the last 50 yrs of college football.  Best fans, and best fucking stadium and game time atmosphere. Last yr was a fluke, the lay off killed them, if they played on 10 days rest they roll the florida ainters

I was actually going to give Ohio St. props for coming back this season after that ass raping they took in the BCS title game last season but screw it now.
Best team ever?  They would'nt beat last years team.   They should make it to the title game again this season cause I don't see the Wolverines beating them later on in the year, then we will see what happens.   Even if they do win the BCS this year they won't be considerd the best ever.

Godfather... if OSU runs the table (a very WEAK table) and then beats Boston College in the BCS title game... you know what that makes them?  the team that had the easiest road ever to a National title... they will be what you would call a "paper tiger"... the most untested team of all time...

that does NOT qualify them to even be discussed as the greatest team ever... in fact, it disqualifies them... you need to pray that they play an Oregon or LSU or Oklahoma, just so that they will not be called the most over-rated team ever... but the problem is, any of those 3 teams would rout OSU...

so maybe you need to root for BC, afterall... so at least you can continue to live your delusion...

I love it.  Every time we go to crown someone the best team ever with this dumbass talk, they get their ass kicked in a conference championship game or a bowl game.  How about we wait until the games are all played.  And really, are we going to say a team with one top 25 team on its resume is the best ever?

    Well, you got us there.

Wisconsin defeated Washington St. at home.

Ohio State marched into Seattle and took care of another PAC10 juggernaut.

What was the third game?....or right, Oregon going to the "Big House" and beating the shit out of the Big10's second best team.

    Clearly the BIG10 is better....

I'd like to see how Ohio St stacks up with past teams when it comes to point differentials with regards to their leauge.  The fact is that other than the Buckeyes, the Big 10 is pretty balanced, meaning that say the worst team, like Minnesota or NW or Purdue, could compete with any team except OSU, if they are at home. And top to bottom, is the Big 10 that much worse than the SEC? No. And the "blowout" vs Florida last year, what relevance does that have this year? If anything, OSU is using it as motivation this year. In the title game, Troy Smith was the Heisman winner, and the Heisman winner usually has a bad bowl game, for obvious reasons. He had the worst game possible. OSU had the better team, they played like shit. And as for the crowd, that isn't really gonna win games, it may help but you still have to play the game. It may factor in a close game but this OSU juggernaut is'nt gonna let a crowd stop them.

Maybe OSU should play a team that is actually ranked or, I guess I should say remain ranked at the end of the year.  If certain chips fall the right way, only one team would be ranked in the last top 25 before the bowls.

Winning at PSU and at Mich is not an easy road, and because thee OSU is dominating the Big 10 it is not their fault. And Org did rout Mich but Mich was off of the biggest upset ever and I think it might be a little closer game now. ORG lost at home to Cal, and Cal lost at home to ORG st, an average team w/ a good D, and then Cal lost to a shitty UCLA team, who lost to Notre Dame, and Cal has lost 3 straight games, WTF?

So using your logic, then Notre Dame would beat Oregon. Is OSU better than ND? That is how crazy this year has been and for idiots to say that LSU or ORG would roll OSU, they are crazy.

Steelhop , thee OSU can't control who is ranked, they schedule years ahead of time and the Big 10 schedule is out of their control, but if you think about it, the OSU has beat teams so bad that of course they're not in the top 25. They have ill, Mich, Wisc, and Ind. left, so that is a decent group of competitive teams, with 3 of them top 25 teams, we will see what happens to these chumps. And what does the top 25 mean anyway, or the top 10, when these teams have been losing a lot. In fact you could have done well betting vs top 25 teams and top 10 teams, other than THee OSU, this year.

Dude...  the SEC has all but one team ranked 36th or better in strength of schedule, and the Big 10 only has ONE ranked that high...  The Mighty Golden Gophers...   at 29, but yet the SEC is just a bunch of mediocre teams beating each other?

And as far as that 7 degrees of Kevin Bacon crap you were pullin:

Michigan lost to App St, who lost to Wofford, who lost to Elon, who lost to South Florida, so therefore the Big East AND the Southern Conference of 1-AA must be better than the Big 10.

Pair ohio st. up with top 6 teams in SEC and they lose to any 6 of them.   ohio st. is over rated and i hope they play LSU or another team that is actually worth a shit in the championship so everyone in america will know how bad the BCS system is.  Ohio st will get blown out if they play in the national championship vs. a SEC team guarenteed

And as far as best teams EVER, look at:

1938 Tennessee -  16 total points allowed all season

1961 Alabama - 25 points allowed all season.

    2006 & 2007 Ohio St. buckeyes

ohio st. would be lucky to win 7 games if they were in the SEC

    JEALOUSY is a TERRIBLE thing.
    GO BUCKEYES!
Go ahead and hate all you want SEC fans.  If you SEC team was so good they would have gone undefeated this year.  A bunch of average teams knocking each other off week after week.
