The Big 10 is 5-3 vs the SEC he last 3 bowl seasons. The Big 10 owns the SEC. How is that possible if the SEC is SO much better, if they are SO fast? Could the SEC be overrated? Maybe it is an illusion the SEC whiners have that all of their teams are so great because noone dominates?

This is stupid, Ohio State isn't even a decent team. Their Championships were mostly bogus and weak.

If you knew your history....Oklahoma won 47 straight games in crushing fashion. Southern Cal dominated back in the day way more than now.

Alabama under Bryant just walked over teams for a couple years. Miami during the Jimmy Johnson era was better than Ohio State at any time.

Get a grip.

pete, when Ginn went ot the Buckeyes scored 3 more points, their offense was totally lost, couldn't do a damn thing, 3 and outs. So Florida's offense rolled. If Ginn is in and the OSU offense could move the ball, no way Florida scores 41 points, they wouldn't have the ball anywhere near as much. And OSU probably scores 20+ points and Florida scores in the 20's, and it would be a close game either way. The fact is that Florida was lucky to even be in that game as the voters could have put USC in there too.

I just got back from a regular tuesday lunch with a bunch of locals where we have avid football guy's/alumni from Georgia, Auburn, LSU, & Alabama and all we talked about was football, but the hell with lunch banter.....this covers post is much better!

Gatorpud, let's not compare teams from the 50's to now. There are reports that many of the games from that era were fixed too. Football was a different game back then. What team has been the most sucessful the past 15 years? the most consistent? OSU, that's who. USC, no, had losing years in the 90's. Miami FL, OKL,
same thing. Nebraska, FSU, not a top team now. No team in the SEC has  been as consistent as OSU either. And for many of these years the Big 10 was one of the top conferences.

Godfather, you are starting to really lose all credability. Florida scored on just about every possession starting from series one. Don't hand me that shit about OSU's offense not doing anything. Was Ginn the Heisman winner? Was he everything? Troy Smith was so over run with Florida's speed it was pathetic. Get over it the much better team won.
 
Again I'll repeat myself. The SEC and bowl games against the Pac 10 is not what I'm telling you about. I'm telling you and backing it up with facts that the SEC has DOMINATED  OSU in bowl games period. 8-0 for the SEC  0-8 for OSU. Should tell your thick skull something.

you have to argue to the potential stregth of your opinion.  Keep to your guns by repeating that if they are unbeaten AND then thrash a sorry Big XII team in the BCS, OSU will be the greatest team ever in your own mind. 
 
I give em a punchers chance against any team but I dont think they are the best team ever.  That's a fact.  Hell this years team isnt even as good as last years.

Ted Ginn doesn't play defense you idiot, but when  you lose a guy like that, a 1st round pick, the fastest guy in the draft, an unbelieveable return guy, then you lose the ability to get field position and 1st downs, and the OSU had a bunch of 3 and outs and Florida ran it up in the 2nd half. The offense scored 3 points after he went out. The OSU offense put up a lot of points last year too. They put up like 41 points on Mich, and Mich had one of the top defenses last year.

Pete, so just because OSU has lost 8 games to SEC teams in bowl games means that they can't beat an SEC team ? WTF? Just teall me what releveance games that were played in  the 1970's has to today? And if the Big 10 is so weak, bu the OSU has dominated the BIG 10 like few teams ever have, and then the Big 10 has beaten the SEC 5 out the last 8 bowl games, what does that say? Seeing the facts, then how do you come up with the opinion that OSU can'[t win the NC, no matter who they play, and esp vs the LSU Tigers who will probably have trouble beating Ole Miss?

Take your over rated OSU team and shove them up your ass, just like most SEC teams would do. Last years OSU team was a fraud and got uncovered in the total ass kicking they got by Florida. If LSU runs the table which is still a tall task to do they will DOMINATE your precious OSU box's again just like last year. Your team is unproven and point blank .has played nobody. Did your whole game plan last year plan around Tedd Ginn who is also over rated? Also you idiot, 90, 93, 95, 96, 01, 02, and 07 is not ancient. This is recent Bowl games in which your Buckeyes were beaten by SEC teams. Get over it. Especially 07 which will stick in your ass for a long time.

LSU, Oregon, Oklahoma, Mizzou.  I would take anyone of them against the Buckeyes on a neutral field.  I do think the Bucks will win out, what with the easy remaining schedule and all, and will get their asses handed to them after having another 45 + day layoff before their bowl game.

pete, yeah so OSU can't beat an SEC team. Man your bookie must love you. I'll bet he takes you out to dinner every week with the way you think, right? So I'm gonna use your logic, LSU lost to a middle average Kentucky team, they really should have lost to an average Bama team, and I'm sure they will have trouble with Miss, Georgia, or whoever they play. But using your logic, there is no way that LSU can even win their bowl game vs a winning team, since OSU lost to Florida last year. Because OSU can't win the NC because they lost a game last year. (by the way they have won 26 straight reg season games and are 33-3 the lst 3 years, best record in college)
