It is ironic to me that you are worried about VT's offensive line when I see the OL of Bama as being a big time question mark coming into the season that will cost them 3-5 games starting with Tech.
Granted, the guys coming in are talented, but it takes several games to a year to get a new offensive line to work as "one" which is the key to an offense . They have to know each other like their brother and that takes times, the most underrated aspect of football in my opinion. I am rather surprised that so many are down playing this.
Everyone talks about replacing Wilson at QB and Smith at Tackle, but Caldwell at center will be next to impossible to replace in game #1, arguable the 2ND most important position in football. Down the road maybe, not game one vs a VT defense with bad intentions.
Virginia Tech will come hard and heavy at Bama and I am betting they will not be able to handle it, particularly with a QB with no game experience and a RB who is still young and will have to pick up the blitz. Bama is in trouble I think...

you could very well be right Brother
But we are going to Agree to Disagree...
Caldwell might be the biggest lose for the Tide's offense but Va Tech's O-Line has been horrible for 3+ years(125 Sacks ,only 3.8,3.3 and 3.2 YPC) and I don't see them being any better this season ... The Hokies also lose their center a 3yr starter ...
Really Looking forward to watching this matchup ... WIN/or lose....

Fantastic Hire bringing in Rich Ellerson who ran a the Triple Option at Cal Poly LY that was #1 in scoring offense,#1 Total Offense,#3 Rushing ,#2 Pass effciency in FCS play..the Defense was also #2 in sacks///
The O-Line is very green ...
Ellerson has moved 6-10 OT Ali Villanueuva to WR , mostly for blocking ...
There are 7+ winnable games on the schedule IMO ...
If the Cadets are going to go Bowling this would be the year
I will be on the Cadets ATS 5+ times this season ...
Starting in week 3 hosting Ball St.

The Offense should be much better this year with 10 starters returning ... QB Dwight Dasher will be the Key to a Bowl Season ...
The Blue raiders should be a great Over team ,Especially in these games ..Vs Memphis,at North Texas,vs WKU, at FAU, vs DIU , vs Louisiana, vs Arkansas St.
5 Of the Last 7 Games are at Home and MDTN St ill have Value as a dog or small Fav in any of those

Should be some excellent fade Options atleast 9+ starting in Game 3 at UNLV continuing at La Tech,vs Fresno St., at Idaho , vs Boise St.,at Nevada,at SJ St, vs Navy, vs Wisconsin
Over should also be in order in 6+ Games ...
57 Sacks allowed in 2008

I like Ball St. laying upto 17, but I will really do more work on this matchup before wagering
Troy 56 Troy -18
Bowling Green 34.5 HF+3.5
Troy might be my biggest play of the week
I am really down on BG
The Trojans have been playing a who's who in college football Out of conference the last 5 years ...traveling to Ohio won't be a problem
Taking Troy laying upto -10
very nice work on this. it all looks good but man does that troy game look to good to be true. also agree on tulane they are not as bad as there record last year would suggest. they were killed by the injury bug. the only thing i have to disagree with is the part about sitting back and watching byu win. go sooners. good work friend

I have a question. If USC is a 14.5 difference better than OSU and the home team typically gets 3 points, you must want to bet your house when you see USC -3 here. Please explain the theory to me like I am a 5 year old child or an OSU grad (which I am, lol).

I would Give Ohio St. 5 Points for Home Field in theMatchup vs USC...
Right now the Chart has USC 85 and Ohio St 69...Making USC -11.... The Trojans should be a Large wager for me in Week 2 if laying 3 or less ..
.Pryor will need to play the game of his life for the Buckeyes to have any chance ....
MY current Prediction is USC 27 Ohio St 15...
Thanks For stopping by Brother ....
BOL this season .....

I think the "rainbow" warriors are going to be a lil of a surprise this yr. I think they will also have a couple of games that they should be nice home dogs (Fresno, Boise). Funny you brought up the UNLV game, cause I circled that one. I am not sure how the Rebels will play this yr. I know they will lose either that game or the tough La Tech game. Tech should be a very solid team this yr, but the Bows have won 3 straight from them. Just don't sell them short just yet for the whole yr. They will be some def games to fade them (Nevada, SJ St) but wait to see how they play.
Great stuff as always. Hey, when you get a chance, look at the win totals I posted in that same thread I made, let me know what you think. THX bro
