Missouri? They are going to be a tough out for anyone later due to their defense coaching and ability to turn 200 yds offense into 40+ points
.....They have not looked great so far - wk 1 vs SE Mizz St sure they won 34-3 but had only 98 yds rushing on 33 carries...Last wk they played the Sun Belt juggernaut Ark St - a decent squad - but were held to less than 300Y....QB Mauk was 16-36 with 3 int....good news...not really - almost their entire stable of RBs are on the injury list - and while they do have to field a team this wk - they will want to get guys geared up for SEC play the following week....Mauk is also their leading rusher ! a whopping 83 yds in 2 games (actually tied for team lead wtf 83 yards) and they have one receiver with over 100 yds. Their D is playing well but UConn could cover this game scoring negative points.
UConn has won their first 2 tune up games - and while nothing to write home about - played Villanova and Army - their QB play looks to be the best in a while....They have a very good D and HC Diaco is a good defensive mind....they have beef on the DL and a good secondary...Decent OL including 3 Big 'Uns...So they finally have enough balance - not to MATRICULATE very often - but enough to stay balanced and stay within striking range....Unless Mizz goes on one of their 4 def TD in 3 minutes runs then we are toast.
Opened higher....Starting to melt down we feel it keeps going down.
We realize some may say UConn may never cross their own 19 yard line - but even then - they could cover.

next week . I think most teams would like to be in
good health going into next week. This is a week
to be careful on heavy favorites .

ok guys one more for today - then packing it in.
Florida -3 Kentucky (52)

You must admit - it does seem funny to see that pointspread and not want to put 78,000 units on it - I mean more units than Make Believe Units guy....Florida blew out NM St and held a decent EC team - even with a new QB - to 333Y and did what they had to....Not sure what to make of these guys yet - We think they are our pick to win the East don't hate us just an early take - but do not want to jump in on this one until we do more reading on who is gonna play this wk for florida they may get some guys back....Kentucky is 2-0 but were outgained in both games - Now with a spread this low there is no way we would ever take the team with the significantly worse D....But have to hand it to K - they are scrappy - even took Fla to 3 OT last yr.....Fun Fact - per Steele mag - the 28 game winning streak for Florida is the 2nd longest next to Penn St over Temple ......OOOOOOOOOOPS...
....Could we see another long streak end?
Summary - lean to Florida - may add. Need to dig a bit more. NO higher than -3.

Miss St did to LSU what LSU did to them last season. Last year we fell early and mounted a comeback but fell short. Once we got up 14-0 this year Miles decided to start playing conservative and not to lose. He's stubborn as a mule. Harris did make good decisions though and thought he played well for being our first game in that kind of environment.

Maryland 7 So Flo (51.5)
Megalocks line - 7
Well Maryland did what Maryland does - soil themselves. True story - last wk vs B Green were up 13-6 at the half and LOST 48-27 giving up almost 700 YARDS in the process - and they were equal opportunity suck factor - almost 500 passing and 6 TD and over 200 Y given up on the ground. Nice work So Flo hung around last wk vs Florida St tied at half then stud 
RB Cook put them away - we smell an improved team at So Flo this yr....problem is it looks like the line reflects that - was hoping for DD - gonna stay clear - Maryland really hard for us to pick - we had the Maryland TT over in last yr So Flo game and boy oh boy did we enjoy that one. Subscribers paid dearly for our stupidity....We stay clear of this one - Maryland could come out swinging off that loss and who knows maybe SFlo is a bit down off game vs that other florida team.
Summary. No leanage. Betting any Maryland game qualifies as stab-yourself-in-the-face kind of fun.

Michigan OFF UNLV
Megalocks line -30
Suspect the line will be in the low 30s when it comes out - see a 34 estimate out there at that line most likely accounts for the QB for UNLV being injured - he is actually decent - and the backup - well - eww. Last wk was 4-15 with an int and 2 fumbles. If he starts it will be ugly. If not? Probably still ugly. 30+ or 34 for instance seems like the right number and ground and pound Michigan may not cover that number.
Summary - wait and see but 99% sure no leanage.

Ohio St 34.5 NIU (66.5)
Megalocks line -28
Leaning to NIU here. The implication in this line is that Ohio St will get 50+ and I suppose that is possible - NIU D has not been looking so hot early on including giving up 30 to UNLV but QB Hare has been outstanding 78% and 6 td no picks - he is on a 24-2 td to int run....They are a decent football team - and here is another example of one of our fav plays - projected bowl team getting 5 TDs against anyone....We will wait and reconsider if it hits 35+....Not as strong as our MTSU play from last wk given that - Ohio St is more explosive on offense and NIU D is worse than MTSU IMO....Also Ohio St is our #1 rated team and rarely play against that - saved our bacon vs VTech even though the crowd could not magically help VT cover.....finally Ohio St does not get enough credit on defense has given up 0 24 20 0 last 4 games vs 3 good teams one being Oregon...and the only gimme was Hawaii and their QB is decent and was made to look silly.
Summary - lean NIU but for reasons above just barely misses the official play list. May revisit if 35s pop up.
