Mega...great week and thanks for letting me tail you.    I didn't tail you on LSU because the spread quickly went above 4 but did on the other plays and added a few winners of my own

I can't really disagree with you and I'm an AU fan. Interested to see if Lawson and Matthews will be back as they're our two best players on defense and are very important in defending the run, as well as offensive tackle Avery Young..but regardless I don't see us hanging in this one. There's just far too much to work on in too little time but I can hope! :)

Love the early tasters, Mega, keep up the great work. I was a loser this week (2-4) will turn it around.

Johnny - yes - our staff is crunching some numbers and hope that those totals you mentioned come out a bit soft - I probably doubt it tho....As far as a snot bubbler....Don't know what to make of Wake yet so highly doubt that will be one + the army qb is pretty good so any low 40s number would be avoided - GL my man

 

Line has since moved a bit higher since yesterday - Dedicated MEGALOCKS subscribers know we try and get a couple EARLY TASTERS on Sunday if the lines look joooocy and if not - let things settle and go from there.

LSU loser....yes to lose that game by one point was tough - but Miss St was the right side - IT WON - and LSU did not put them away. Having said that - we like this week's matchup and perceived value in the line.

Ok we know LSU run game is very very good. I feel that they could have passed a bit more Harris is not a complete tool - but we hate being Coach Is An Idiot Guy - so just accept last's wk result and know that they should be able to hit close to 300Y rushing on this Auburn D which has a SOFTER UNDERBELLY than the Miss St D....And their D should be able to handle the Auburn offense which is struggling a bit early we hope they are getting them at the right time.

Auburn? We are not going overboard. But is was a messy first few weeks. They got outgained by Louisville and OUTRUSHED WTF and maybe that game looks worse now? They followed that up by getting outgained by JAX ST and held the ball for less than 25 min I know they are quick strike historically but their QB seems a bit off early - We are also not going to be Covers Talent Evaluator Guy - we just go on facts - first SEC QB to throw 5 int in the first 2G and he just looks to us to be out of sync. We have watched quite a bit of Auburn football so far - not that it matter for this pick - just think by watching them this may not be the week they figure things out.

Finally - FWIW - LSU pasted last yr by Auburn - probably wanna return the favor but don't think anyone needs extra motivation. Auburn's stats so far - its early - but after 2 games vs and avg Louisville team and and FCS team - rankings....run d 96...offense 97....t/o margin 107....3rd d def 114....TOP 99....just not doing much well yet.

(notice we did not mention the crowd...It IS POSSIBLE to handicap without over-emphasizing "hostile environment" impacts)

thx man  so glad to get off to a start with 2 great weeks but it is just as easy to lose the next 2 weeks so have to keep grinding and play smart with our money. GL this wk !

Clemson 6 Louisville

We don't think any solid handicapping process begins in the morning with the thought - "hey let's bet against Clemson"....10 11 11 10 wins last four years and we love the excellent ATS mark over that time span....UNDERrated and well coached and the D from last yr - well we often needed a cold shower watching them destroy people and like we said last wk - could make a case for App St but did not know enough about their D....Well I know its early but jeeez could they be a brick wall again? gave up some rushing yards last wk but held a very good QB to 9-28 and 3 int....Sure they are not perfect but with that D and a good coach and solid QB....not going to fade here.

Here is the other side of the coin....We see a bit of perceived value according to our lines....and while Louisville is 0-2....they did outgain and outrush Auburn (quality of loss TBD) and played a bit of a sloppy game in a close loss to bowl bound Houston last wk....Now they are 0-2 BUT this is their first conf game and all can be forgiven with a win here - so obviously not saying they will - but Clemson will get their best shot at least early....Louisville OL a bit sketchy early but it is not helping that they have used 3 QBs already not including the one that could have been the starter this year...Different skill sets - and from what we have researched - seems as though they do keep the other team on their toes - but it is also been hard to get consistency since the styles of the QBs are so different - So Clemson will be kept off balance at times there is no way around that....Biggest worry is the Louisville pass D and we expect them to get torched a couple times deep.

This is gonna be like the Sparty game for us.....We missed the early line below 3 then at 3 so passed even tho we felt they were the right side....and here the line was in the -3 range now -6....so while we think Clemson should win by a TD - there is enough unknown here as noted above that we cannot take the plunge at -6. Will wait for total and see about that.

This should be a more entertaining game than last yr when Watson got hurt and teams combined to go 3-33 on 3rd down.

Summary - no leanage on side. Waiting for total.

Bad beat last week, LSU was my secret bigplay at -3...i simulated the game and Jennings is the better QB for LSU. They like Harris because of his size, i think Jennings can run the offense better.

QB - tough one for us - LSU could not put them away - Wish they would have tried a few more passes off play action but that is life full marks to Miss St on that game never gave up 

I will take a look at the K St game buddy
