LSU has gone Chik-Fil-A'ing 5 times, winning each, and most recent a 33 pt win over GTech. Clemson last year went Bowling vs WVa and lost by 37. So being this is an SEC team, I should be getting (33+37=) 70 pts, right?
Really guys, I'm not picking on SEC, and whole-heartedly agree that they're the best top-to-bottom Conference in NCAA. But like every conference, they have their own distinct style, which isn't always a guarantee to match-up with other styles of other Conferences. That's why the SMUs cover vs the Fresno's, the Gophers cover vs. the TTech's, and the Nevada's cover against the Zona's. I said in my Vandy thread...the SEC covered 53% Bowling last year and 58% last 2. That's losing.
Taj Boyd is a match-up nightmare. For any team in any game in any Conference. If you think Les is crafty enough to come up with a scheme that can keep him in the pocket, then I lose here. Spurrier did a little, but I really don't think Les can. Clemson avg's 42+pts and 520 yds a game. They have been held under 37 pts only twice. I know someone's gonna bust me that those ##'s aren't against SEC Defenses. SEC heart bettors can shine their bumpers there...facts are facts and 53%/58% doesn't make a D an automatic. Not with my money anyway. LSU kicking and punting game always a plus part of their game, take note that Brad Wing was suspended here. Prolly won't matter tho.
Clemson has played 7 Bowl teams and put up 259 pts against them. Do the math. Again, I know...not against SEC Defense. Last year's LSU team ended regular season with a +28 pt/game margin. This years ended with a +13 ppg. That's quite a dropoff. But I know, those are not relative cuz this is SEC country. Which makes it an automatic.

I used this as my #4 Game in Confidence Entry. I'm wrong alot, but my #1 was pretty easy. Despite the bashing it took.
This Game hits 3 of my Bowl Angles, one of which has already easily hit on 2 games and is now 23-3. But I know that doesn't matter. Cuz those weren't all SEC Games. Right. I like Taj Boyd and I like my chances here.
