Alot of great people have gone and many are still here with alot of newbies over that time.
I know Miami better than most.
Why- because when I managed the bball team on scholarship and broadcast the sports teams, I also knew the players including Mario very well.
He, his brother Luis, Gino T, Walsh, Mike Barrow, Randall Hill ( Shane Curry RIP) Cortez Kennedy ( RIP) Jesse Armstead and all the coaches would come on my radio show on WVUM.
What Mario has done is create an Atmosphere of accountability , brought in some tremendous guys on and off the field, engaged past Hurricanes, Great or Not to 'come back'.
Michael irvin , Ray Lewis and others felt ostracized by that dimwit Al Golden and while I like Randy Shannon as a person, he's not 'fiery' enough.
Diaz and Richt tried but Mario is a smart guy in life ( academically there) knows the pulse of the school and how to navigate things.
With a win over an SEC team( he's familiar ) and so is Beck, for the right to play for a National Championship in his/their stadium, the Canes may lose but only to Cignetti.

As UM alumni, I’d love nothing more than being at Hard Rock to watch the Canes win it all
Probably not going to happen. Miami beat an A&M team that was overated all season, turned around and played an OSU team that hadn't played in 25 days. OSU dug a hole early. Miss will likely take control early and expose Miami by DD.
Likely.

Why will this "likely" happen? Miami has given up 58 points their last 6 games total.....Ole Miss and Chambliss are really good....but this Miami defensive line is the best in the country....I expect Lacy to struggle and Chambliss to make a couple mistakes.....
GL sir

Yes I agree about the canes defensive front being the best unit left , the problem is which canes offense shows up and more importantly which QB Beck shows up , lane K left a very dangerous team

@TRAIN69 Chambliss doesn't make mistakes. 0 fumbles and only 3 interceptions all year. Please come with something else.
I said I expect him to make mistakes.....I didnt say anything about fumbles or interceptions....I said Lacy will struggle, which will put more pressure on Chambliss....who will be playing the best defensive line in college football....so mistakes include taking sacks and forcing throws.....
I dont need to come with something else bro. Been doing the for over 3 decades now. Learn to comprehend what you read, not assume you do.
