LSU didn't run the option until later in the game when Jefferson was in. You just made my point for me. LSU moved the ball with the option and they will do it a lot more when they play Alabama again.

Your childish posts are getting old. You used to have some of my respect but now you act like an immature 19 year old kid. Please tell me which starters for Alabama didn't play in the 1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th quarters? You always make excuses. At least Jimmy and Tappy back up their opinions with facts. You only think that the 1985 Bears could be this year's Alabama team. Georgia Southern rush for over 300 yards and rushed on them all game long.

I think the thread is very ignorant, but the guy has a point.
LSU has beaten 3 teams ranked #3 or higher already![]()
If somebody "happens" to beat them in the NC game, that teams resume will be nowhere close to the same.
Plus, if they play Bama again, how can you give Bama the NC when LSU beat them in Bama???![]()

Not 3 top #5...they beat 3 teams ranked #3 or better![]()
Im guessing that has NEVER been done....after the NT game, it could be beating 4 teams ranked #2 or #3 within the same year![]()

Let see how Alabama handl Auburn tomorrow. If they can beat Auburn more than 3 touchdows, they should be number two in the nation. If not, they f. themselve

It's pretty simple. When Jordan Jefferson is under center, LSU runs the option regardess of who they play, and the Alabama game was no exception. It didn't take Miles long to figure out that LSU pretty much had no chance of moving the ball with Jarret lee at QB, so Jefferson played almost the entire game, and he is the reason LSU won the game.
As I have said several times previously, if there is a re-match, Lee will not see the field.
LSU ran the option 10 times in the game against Alabama because that, and Jefferson scambles, was the only thing they had any success with at all. Alabama completely shut down their passing game. So yes, of course LSU will run the option, just like they did the first time they played. But to act like that is some sort of novel tactic that LSU will implememnt in the wake of the Georgia Southern game is completely ridiculous.

No doubt that LSU is a much better offensive team with Jordan Jefferson at QB (which is no doubt why he was the starter), and I agree that now that he's had a chance to get more game reps under his belt, he'll be even tougher for Bama to handle the second time around.

Just because they won in our backyard they will be considered the champs. What happens if we win the NC? That will not count because we will be pretty much in there back yard.
