Cont....
Missouri +2.5
Illinois
(I only lean
toward Missouri because Illinois is a tougher team @ home and have
returning QB Juice Williams and almost all OLine coming back. I will be
looking at this OVER
though because Illinois goes up against a defense that struggled last
year and have only 4 returning starters. In the meantime, Missouri put
up an average of 30 ppg last year and return 9 starters.)
Colorado State +4 (only because I roll with the dog in rivalry games. But I'll stay away from this.)
Colorado
Virginia -3
Wyoming
(I LOVE playing
Wyoming as they have been cover machines, however, UV returns 8 on
Offense and 10 on defense. They should be much improved. Wyoming lost a
ton of starters from last year. I like the ACC team with so many
returning starters to cover. Plus, Wyoming was 10-2 (?) ATS last year
and I think are getting a little too much credit on this game.)
UCLA -12
Stanford
(UCLA is just stacked this year.
Their Defense looked to gel toward the end of the season. I will stay
away from this game most likely but lean toward UCLA.)
Houston +16
Oregon
(Both teams lost a lot of people. I
think that Oregon returns more key players this year. I love Oregon @
home but this is a lot of points, especially for a first game of the
year. I lean toward Houston. I also look for the points to move in
Houston's favor.)
Georgia Tech +2.5
Notre Dame
(I really like GT this year. They
will be a legit team and have a better QB. They have a stud RB
returning and I think will be a better team this year without CJ. 5
returning OL. I love that they are a dog and look for the public to
jump on ND to move this line. I like GT and the ML.)
Arizona +2
BYU
(I rode BYU last year big time. They
just lost too many people for this year, including John Beck. Arizona
has 8 returning on Offense and 10 on that hardcore Defense. It looked
like the Offense started coming together in the last 4 games of last
season. I like Arizona in this one.)
Baylor
TCU -11.5
(Both teams lost a
ton of Offense. Baylor gave up over 30 ppg on Defense and only return
4. TCU apparently has a good looking QB stepping in this year and the
best RB in the MWC. They also return 9 on a bad ass Defense. I have to
roll with the home team that can run the ball and has the great
defense. I love TCU in this one.)
Tennessee +4.5
California
(I lean toward Tennessee because of
their QB play and their good defense. They could be a big surprise this
year. However, this is the GOW on ESPN and the 1st one of the year. Too
much hype, too much TV exposure etc. etc. I won't touch games like this
in most cases. If I do, I would go against the money in most cases.)
Florida State -5
Clemson
(QB questions at FSU and coaching
questions as well but I'll still take them. Clemson returns just 3
starters on Offense and will be starting a Freshman QB in this big
rivalry. FSU has most talent and more returning starters, including a
veteran at QB. In this big rivalry, I have to go with the poised QB and
tough defense. But this will also be a hyped up game and I will most
likely stay away from it.)
