Only if they all were 2 game loser's maybe, the fact of the matter is the so called computers love the SEC it's about $$$ and MOSTLY....nothing more and has been for a long time. $$$ rules all evil what i mean by that is there's always teams that deserve a shot in the NCG and don't get it, and that list would be long!!!

Boom nobody is arguing that the system is flawed but your reasoning that LSU shouldn't drop behind Alabama because they beat them in OT makes no sense. By that argument then Arkansas should not be ranked behind LSU or ahead of Alabama. Out of the three teams Arkansas would have the most impressive win beating the #1 team on their home field. But can you put Arkansas ahead of a team that they lost to by 24 points? No. Arkansas struggled with teams like Ole Miss and Vanderbilt as well.
LSU has dominated their schedule in all but one game. Alabama has dominated their schedule in all but one game. Arkansas may finish with the same record but they haven't dominated their schedule the way the above teams have.
Do you look at this as who has the better loss? Alabama wins that argument. Do you you look as who has the better wins? LSU wins that argument because they also beat Oregon. However history has punished teams that lose late and LSU can't afford to lose to Arkansas that late in the season.
Where does Oregon fit in? They were beaten soundly (if you watched the game you know that Oregon shot themselves in the foot a lot) but LSU and it would be hard to put them ahead of a one loss Bama or LSU IMO. Oklahoma can't be in the discussion because they lost as a 28 point home field favorite.
If you have a vote after Thanksgiving weekend and we assume that Oregon beats USC, Arkansas beats LSU, and Bama has no problems in their final two games how do you rank the teams headed into Championship Saturday? Also I think where you rank Oregon has a lot to do with how they look against USC and how Stanford looks against Cal and Notre Dame. But how would you rank them after next weekend?
1. Oklahoma State
2. Bama (does LSU only drop one spot if they lose to Arkansas? I don't think so)
3. Arkansas (they move ahead of Oklahoma and Oregon IMO but you could argue this all day long)
4. LSU (I can't rank Oregon ahead of them)
5. Oregon
6. Oklahoma (the loss to Texas Tech is killer)
Note: LSU fans would be up in arms and have every right to be but you can't lose to Arkansas at home and I don't think they will.
This is going to be Oklahoma State/LSU, Oklahoma State/Bama, or Bama/LSU IMO. It's a great debate but this scenario played out a couple of years ago (2008). Oklahoma lost by 10 to Texas but Texas lost to Texas Tech on a last second TD. Texas Tech of course got blown out by Oklahoma. Oklahoma got to play for the Big XII title and NC while Texas had to play in another BCS game. The later you lose the more it hurts. In 1993 FSU played for the NC against Nebraska even though Notre Dame beat them but ND lost to BC. Nebraska played Miami in 2002 (I think the year is right) even though Nebraska didn't even play for their conference title. If we had a plus one system this would all take care of itself. Oklahoma/Oklahoma State winner, Alabama, LSU, and Oregon would play in the semifinals and the winners would play for the NC. Even going back to 2008 I think you would have seen Texas, OU, Florida, and Bama in the final four. It's a great debate and I am not sure their is a right answer but I don't think LSU can affird to lose at home in the season finale. If they get left out then it may be payback for their 2007 NC where they got in with 2 losses.

Arkansas can take the film against them from a better defense of Alabama they played and use it to prepair for another good defense...as well as LSU film and correct the holes, blocking, QB Tyler Wilson rollouts...etc.
I think Miles will try and use some things Saban done with his defense since they had the best defensive game against Arkansas.
He has to look for an edge to slow Arkansas down, the difference is Arkansas has gotten better on the offensive side of the ball like you said they are more healthy now. I have no faith in their defense at all.
The thing that sticks out is how poorly they played against Ole Miss winning late 29-24, and then playing Vandy winning late 31-28. So with that said their only improvement has been in the last (2) games against SC with a freshmen QB Shaw, and Tenn which is not nothing to write home about with their QB problems.
QB Tyler Wilson was pulled in the 3rd qt of the Alabama vs Arkansas game from Alabama's burtal beating he was taking from Alabama defense.
If anybody watched that game they would have to say Arkansas threw in the white flag when pulling QB Tyler Wilson out not hurt except his ego...
With the position Arkansas is in...in the rankings and the way things could play out with a win. Look for a shootout if LSU can keep up. Miles better run and pound the ball and keep Arkansas's offense on the sidelines, and believe me he knows it also...
Alabama moved the ball on LSU
W.V. moved the ball on them its not like a team can't move the ball and with the WR's and the beaten QB Tyler Wilson can take, and i mean the dude can take a beaten. There will be long balls all day.
This game is played in the day time in Baton Rouge not night time where LSU has their best games. Arkansas does have a chance to pull an upset big time...
This could be noted as a better game to the build up then the one that lead to the Alabama vs LSU game...

I think all fans find a reason when put in this position not just Alabama fans, LSU would as well as you with Clemson.
I also see hate, toward Alabama no matter if they won or lost in these forums. People need to get over the fact the so called computers like the SEC teams better and Alabama is one of the computers favor a bunch. Me being an Alabama i can admit it but me being an Alabama fan i can enjoy it also.
You have to look at this with open eyes no matter if you're a fan of the SEC or Alabama.
Okla State is undefeated so what who have they played that so great, La. Laf, Arizona, Tulsa, Texas A&M, Kansas, Texas, Missouri, Baylor, Kansas State, Texas Tech.
Plus their defense is ranked at 62nd in the nation giving up 26.3 points a game. I will give them credit putting up points, but not allot playing teams that hardly have a defense's to stop them putting up points....
You have backed Alabama all year that is true...from what i seen i really don't read you're threads...rarely at best.
If and i say this with an if...
Okla State lost to Okla there should be a rematch without a doubt with Alabama and LSU because they or the two best teams in the nation from todays stand point. Even if LSU beats Arkansas.

Tideman-
LSU beat Oregon in Dallas Texas- not in the Big Easy (New Orleans) They had plenty of Oregon fans in the stands. It was a neutral site game.

Boom you missed my point entirely. I didn't bring up the circumstances of Alabama's loss becasue I'm somehow disgruntled over the loss. I brought it up for comparison purposes.
If pollsters are willing to rank Michigan State ahead of Nebraska when both teams have identical records after Nebraska completely dominated them a few weeks ago, then why do you think the pollsters would not do so in the case of LSU & Alabama where LSU won the game in overtime despite being out-played?
This has nothing to do with what you or I think is fair. Neither of us are pollsters. The question is what will the pollsters do if LSU loses to Arkansas. I think the answer is pretty obvious. They WILL rank Alabama ahead of LSU just like they ranked Michigan State ahead of Nebraska. This is in no way unprecedented.
So assuming that Alabama beats Auburn, and Arkansas beats LSU, in what order would you rank these three teams?

I'm pretty sure the posters arguing against it know better, they just can't bring themselves around to admit it.

I will ask you the same thing I asked Boom. If Alabama beats Auburn and Arkansas beats LSU, please tell me how you think the pollsters will rank these three teams? It sounds you think that the pollsters will leave the rankings just as they are, which of course is patently absurd.
