How to choose a handicapper for NCAA football?

What is the best way to choose a NCAA football hanidcapper for the season? There are so many of them.

Who is the recommended choice for the best service/record? 
Are the cappers advertising their legit records and is their a way to confirm their legitimacy?
Best price?
When do you receive the picks and how?
Anything else relevant to letting a pro do the work?

Thanks for the feedback.

don't pay for picks.   do your own research.    most of these guys are hacks.   if you have to pay for picks, then you are either a degenerate action junkie, dumb, lazy or all three...

there are plenty of good resources on line to do your own research.   if you feel that you have to pay a service, then you should probably find a new hobby because you are already screwed...

+1. Why lose twice if the capper gets paid regardless and you pay the book also. It's stupid to use a service

Pal I don't believe in picks myself. But one guy I used was Ethan Alexander from sports investor central. He went 9-2 for me with college/nfl and it went well but I don't bet large , I bet rather small .. So I took a break from the buying picks. I would say he's good but only had a weekend of his plays

Sure buddy, your story is BS....You are either against paying for picks or your not....Kind of like deciding what food to eat....You dont eat food that taste like crap on a casual basis........Your claiming to have paid for these picks and went 9-2 over the first 11 games over the course of a weekend and than decided to take a 'break" and stop playing for the season???  Very unlikely........Hope nobody uses this service or any other as they are just like anything else that sound too good to be true, just another scam...If these guys really hit over 60% on any kind of a regular basis they would have all the $$$ they need and would not go into a sales business to help out others.

Getting juiced by the boos is enough. Why get middled by some hack who is likely not as good as some of the proven cappers on this site. I am not the greatest capper so i follow some of the better cappers advice on this site, do my own research, and try and improve each year. Discipline and hard work are really the only ways of finding any real long term success.

I appreciate all the comments. Wasn't what I was looking for. I asked not whether it was a good or bad idea but for specifics for someone looking into it. I just don't have the time to do the work myself and most of these professional handicappers advertise profitable systems. Wanted to know if they are legit and who stands out as the best. I also was wondering how you get the picks from them. Do they email them to you, do you log in on the site and receive them there? All of those questions I asked in my first post were the specific answers I was seeking. Not others opinions on what is the best way to utilize my time while looking to make a profit betting on college football.

Just tail someone from this forum who posts the same time each week and has a fully documented ROI from last season on a large sample size. Mega locks springs to mind as does Boom Boom

And.... All this advice about making your own picks? Ignore it

If you'd got an abscess on your foot would you read up on how to remove it yourself or would you go to a doctor who likes doing and is qualified to do the stuff you're not interested in? No. Get the benefit of the wisdom of those who are good enough to win and happy to post their picks on Covers for free....

Buddy save your money.....Those professional services are just as good as most cappers on this sight that post picks for free.....There is no such thing as a "profitable system" in sports betting, at least not on any kind of regular basis...I aam trying to warn you before you find out the hard way.....

again, if you feel that you have to use a service, then don't even bother.    we all work a-hole, and those of us who have been successful in this business endeavor and/or hobby of college football handicapping do our own research, and then we confirm with a few select cappers who post on covers and who will give you honest feedback on your weekly picks...   you received good advice on this string that you don't even deserve, you are just too pretentious and delusional to see it.      I predict that by the end of September you won't be posting on covers anymore, because your bankroll will be gone like 98% of the degenerates that start posting on covers at the start of the season...

I cap my own games except on Vegas trips. That's where a usually pay 250 dollars to Youngstown connection. Never failed me. I made 8800 my last trip for the division round of the nfl playoffs college basketball and the national championship game.
I was all over the patriots vs the ravens and I would have lost that one had I not purchased his plays. He went 3-1 for the nfl, 4-1 in college baskets and 1-0 for the national championship game. Money well spent as I went 7-3 with my own plays.

Trip before that my own plays went 5-7 and his plays went 8-2.

Real deal overall plays are
Overall 2311-1552-68 +596.46 units
And all the records are there daily and month to month dating back lifetime record.

Very stupid comment. My guess is you have paid for services and you picked a fraud site and now you complain about.

Maybe the guy don't want to research and just watch the game with some action on it. And try to win a few bucks with that.

There are few good services, a lot of fraud. 
There are very good handicappers on Covers as well for free

If you know you are a square bettor than do this.

Select a reputable on line book with reduced lines. 

Depositing an amount you are comfortable with losing into this book but enough so that 5% of that total (it will go up and down) is the absolute maximum you place on any one bet. 

Don't EVER pay anyone for anything. Soak up the advice of others on any one of the big sports gambling forums and learn through experience. You can easily tell the BSers from the highly respected by the response they get. 


Enjoy yourself win or lose. Don't be another gambling idiot who bets more than he can afford and ends up riding through highs and lows until he crashes at a big fat 0 in their account. Make sports gambling a spice that makes sports watching more enjoyable.


IF you win 53% long term at a reduced lines book then guess what. Your account grows and your bets do too. THAT is the only way you should betting large, YOU EARN IT.

Most of you will never get there. So effing what, you can enjoy gambling just like you can enjoy drinking without turning into a loser in life.

My buddy had an abscess and it turned out to be the MRSA staff infection and he almost died.  Get that checked out quick!!  Good advice Julespussy!!!

If you're being sarcastic or not I have no idea. I do maintain that the advice to do your own capping is bad advice for 95% of people. It's a real skill - trust those who show proof that they have it!
