How is 2008 FL losing to 2-10 Miss St AT home worse than 6-5 ISU loss ON THE ROAD in OT? It's funny how the SEC homers want to have it both ways. Florida in 2008 lost to a 2-10 Miss State team AT HOME and still played for the NC GAME which was a total FARCE. Everybody then and now still had their head in their ass about Tebow. OSU loses to a 6-5 bowl team who played the 3rd rated SOS ON THE ROAD in OVERTIME and everyone acts like they just got beat by a middle school. ISU is 29th in the Sag ratings and is ahead of half the SEC and a very good ASU team that killed USC so everyone that wants to keep talking about ISU please give it a break. I don't like OSU but the bottom line is their ENTIRE BODY OF WORK is MUCH BETTER than Bama. Also just look at the two teams. OSU with the MUCH BETTER OFFENSE and MUCH MUCH MUCH better ST, Bama defense is MUCH Better but it all evens out. If they played the line would be Bama by 1 or 1.5 and that is a fact. All you SEC homers that say they would beat OSU by 30 or even double digits are smoking crack. What's funny to me was hearing the Stanford coach talk about how he thought the computers should play less of a factor in the BCS. Well maybe if his team played more than 2 hard teams all year and didnt get blown out by 3 tds at home he would not have to worry about it. He loves to toot his own horn about beating ND and USC 3 times though. This coach better love life because next year when he loses Luck Stanford is going to suck ass and he will be fired in 2 seasons.

Wouldn't it be wise to at least research your facts before you wasted 10 minutes of your life writing that ridiculous paragraph.  Bama lost the #1 team in the country and OSU lost to an unranked team.  You really don't need to look any further than that.

My mistake so they lost to a 4 loss team and ISU has 5 losses huge difference. Like I said all Bama fans want to relegate the entire season down to a 1 game season. Forget the fact they only have 2 good wins on their resume lets just look at their loss and because they got their ass handed to them at home should get a rematch. Makes perfect sense.

It's as easy as this.  Florida was widely regarded as the #1 team in the nation in the final rankings before the bowl games.  Florida received 50 of 65 1st place votes in the AP poll and 26 of 61 1st place votes in the coaches poll. 

For some reason, none of the sites that I have looked at show a breakdown of the AP and coaches poll's voting for this week but I would be willing to bet that Okie St.'s 1st place votes are nowhere close to this. 

It was obvious to every knowledgeable follower of college football that Florida was one of the top 2 teams in the country at the end of the year.  You cannot say the same for Okie St. no matter how much you and Ice troll these boards trying to convince people that it is so.

Not sure what your hate is for Alabama but in no way can you come up with any logical reason that Alabama and LSU are not the two best teams in the nation right now.  Everybody is talking about how Bama got beat in there own backyard so they do not deserve to play LSU again.  I keep hearing that because they did not win there conference that they do not deserve to play in the NC. 

Did Texas win there conference a couple of years ago?  Oh wait they do not have a conference championship game.  If Bama wins the NC does that make them not deserve it because they beat LSU in there own backyard.  I do understand that the tickets are split 50/50 so do not bring that up.  It will still be like a home game for them. 

Either way they are the two best teams no matter who wins and they do deserve to play again.  Another reason why we need a playoff system

Ass handed to them at home? They lost by 3 in OT!!! They dominated the game on the defensive side and moved the ball better than LSU. They lost and were likely not going to be in the championship game until Stanford, Oklahoma State, Oregon, and even Oklahoma (twice) threw up all over themselves. Bama's closest game was 16 points on the road to Penn State (pre Sandusky). We didn't lose to Iowa St, Baylor, Texas Tech, etc. Your act is tired!

Really? Their entire body of work is better than Bama? They almost lost to Texas AM, who got beat by Arkansas, who we destroyed. Louisiana Laf, Tulsa, and Iowa state scored 30+ points on their defense. Not to mention all the other teams that have easily just walked down the field on them. They have NO defense, and can't compete with teams like Bama and LSU, who would BLANK those teams that put 30+ on them. 

And personally I don't care who has the higher SOS ranking... The fact of the matter is, until Ok st comes into the SEC and plays, not a single team they have played will impress me enough to think for one second that they are on the level of teams LSU, and Bama have played.

I was with you on your response until you talked about texas, because they actually did have a conference championship then and actually one it by a hair vs Nebraska. they dont have one this year because you must have 12 or more teams to have a conference championship game. ironically the big 12 doesnt have that.

Im an LSU fan yet I agree that Alabama is the second best team but i dont necessarily agree that they should get a second chance, but thats my opinion and opinions are like assholes....everyones got one and it's probably shitty.
