in reading all of these responses, I have concluded there is money being bet on Ohio State and money being bet on Texas,,,thanks to all for helping to clarify this

i guess this is supposed to imply betting 25K is sharp money (or who knows maybe there is some other significance besides a 2-0 track record) - actual sharp money already hammered 11 and 10.5 openers and does not wait for 9

I work at a local book and we don't have lines posted days in advance. The line was set up at 9 at noon today. He placed the bet about two hours after the line was placed. 

quocng, we are getting a lot more money going on the over and Texas right now as game time nears. This is the consensus of around 30-35 bettors.

On betphoenix, it is +8 for Ohio State so I will place the bet with my book at +9.

lets just assume that EVERYTHING you are saying is true... would you really put your faith in some dipshit who is dumb enough to bet 25k at a book that only opens lines the day of the game when he could get free points at other books? my god dude

Hey there are some traditionalist bettors out there who would rather go with the trusty local book who will pay them out every thursday than to put their money on a website or give a number out to an offshore agent. The information I am giving you is true but if you don't want to believe me its fine.

for what its worth, I am with ya on Ohio State for 1h and game...not sure about the other things, but I think OSU keeps it close in the 1h, if not ahead at 1/2 time and then I can nail Texas for 2h, as they have been a great, great 2h team this year....
