you're speculating too bud...saying it's "impossible to prove" yet insisting it "happens all the time". do you KNOW it happens all the time or is it just convenient for you to believe so?
tell me who is the one doing the fixing "all the time".

I've always said, I wish there was a possible auto-ban on any poster who uses the words "fixed" or "rigged." It puts a black eye on all serious bettors. It's an absolute joke that people cry it--has it ever happened before? Yeah, we know about Donaghy, and boxing, and italian soccer. But for people who want to act like it happens all the time--do they realize how much would have to go into these things for their so-called "fixes" to happen? You really think there's a bat phone on the sidelines for "Vegas" to call in to? "Coach--you're scoring too much, gotta tell your whole team to start shaving points, they can only score 12 points over the next 5 minutes, okay?" Or how about made baskets being called "fixes?" Because of course, 100% of the time when points are needed, you can auto-make 3 pointers right?
It makes us all look like idiots. I wish nothing but the worst for everyone who cries "fixed." I wouldn't spend a penny of my money on ANYTHING if I believed the result was pre-determined--if you have any brains, those who cry 'fixed,' you wouldn't either. Just saying "I try to be on the RIGHT side of the fix"--that's a clown comment, bro.
It really does make me extremely angry, in case that's not clear. I could keep going but I don't want to raise my blood pressure too high lol. More later perhaps.
p.s. One last thought, a previous poster made another point that I love, that you "rigged" crybabies can't answer logically--when's the last time you saw someone on the winning side of a bet claim, "IT WAS RIGGED!" Oh yeah, that's right--you don't. It's called bad luck/mooses. We've all been on the right side, and wrong side, but some all powerful hand of Vegas didn't decide the result.

Games get fixed. It's factual. I lost a few big bets on fixed games myself. How am i sure? Because he admitted it in court and went to prison for it... Granted it is fairly rare, though it does happen occasionally. The only time I've thought a game might have some "influencing" was the blatant first down call against S.Carolina today when there was evidence RIGHT THERE and was completely ignored...

question though...can someone tell me who has fixed all these bowl games and convinced the sheep theyre legit...do the players all have secret intra team meetings beforehand...do the refs have secret meetings with vegas...do the chancellors of the schools play a round of golf to decide whether they should tell their coaches to have the game go over or under...do mobsters find the qbs of teams and convince them to throw ints so the game stays under...does billy walters intentionally lose sometimes to convince everyone else that all these games arent fixed...someone with insight please tell me, i want in.
took time to read this thread but was worth it.. im not on either side but i still beleive what i beleive. You have to understand money is influenced on this. true you can't influence EVERY game... but if there's a large amount of money on one side... that game is more focused on and of course lines will change..... i once spook to a college running back and asked him are games rigged or anything like that. of course it's not going to be out in the open anything like that because it's fed time... but he did tell me money was influenced. he said when he and players run out of the tunnel... agents are on the side of the tunnel influencing players..... if a player gets this many years or a certain amount of sacks... things like that.. then they will get paid out in full amount. he didnt say these games are controlled butt a lot of aspects around it influences the outcome heavily.... im not saying game are rigged fixed or anything like that... i just truly beleive some games are infleunce by the amount of money that's wagered.... Tim Donaghy the ref that admittted he fixed games even says he controlled games by concentrating on one player and making calls that favor what the outcome should come out to be.... sooo dont get mad at what i'm saying.. just try to really understand it... basically at the end of it all we're tryig to crack the bookies. not us..

I think that it really be hard to fix an NFL game but the Cowboys sure did look like some of there players were up to something especially on one interception that Romo threw! The Dallas receiver looked like he just waited for the safety to Intercept the ball instead of trying to knock it down! Who knows I'm not a professional football player

Fixing in sports is a fact. I benefitted for years when I used to be a bookie and now just a lesiure player. There are games that you know its going to be fixed ahead of time and you take advantage of it. I think the over in OK/Purdue game was fixed yeasterday as well. I think Charlottesports has too many follower and he gave Purdue and the under as his pick. Even the announcer said that its very unsportsmanship for someone to run up the score like that. I think the majority of people denying sports are fixed are mostly young and naive bettors, who just started betting. Its too hard for them to swallow, but without them losing their money on these trap games, how are we going to benefit? Leave it alone, I try to explain the best I could, but they are not going to listen. So I just keep on making my money on these games that I know is going to be fixed and be happy.

Well, lets just say "some" games are fixed and most arent. I can assure you some college games are fixed. Because im a degenerate gambler (live in NYC) I was approached by my Italian bookie when I was in college about whether I had a relationship with any of the hoops players. One of my friends was a shooting guard and the book wanted to know if he needed any cash. I obviously steered clearly away from that but it opened my eyes to how these guys work. I doubt any kids at my school did anything wrong but Im sure it happens everywhere. NCAA sports is big business and Im sure they know these kids are vulnerable. I guess pro sports can be corrupted if you get to the refs (NBA for example) but I gotta think the pros are rich enough to stay away from the vultures. Ive seen calls in the NFL that make you wonder however. The good news is I have a 50% chance of winning if a game is fixed anyway since I dont know who's in on it, right?

*suggests yet more .......chick-like behavior you're a VICTIM!...of most EVERY stinkin' thing..... like there is an unseen force...ready to screw you around at every turn!....(it evens out you dumbazz.......)
*thru history....no doubt a few games have been ' altered'.......you never will know about it anyway....so what's the point of worrying about it?.......AND it EVENS out.....a extremely rare....'fixed' game will work in your FAVOR....as many times as against you...right?
It is better to be feared - than to be loved.

There is no doubt at all that some games are fudged. Look yall....where ever you have millions up 100 of millions of dollars at stake every week say on NFL football, you are going to have someone...somewhere fudging games to make some of that money themselves. Follow the money .... Also if games get out of hand we usually change the channels...so that right there hurts the advertisement side of the stations.
I am by no means saying every game is fudged or whatever....but you better bet your damn dollar that the REFS are the ones who are involved more than anyone. I am speaking from 1st hand knowledge cause I am friends with a SEC Football official. And take it for what its worth....I.E. Bama is in most of the REFS back pockets.....I think they had 1 holding call on them last year

Guess I will chime in on this.....

U think the NCAA gives a Poop about Oddsmakers ????
do u know how little $$$ a casino makes off a sportsbook ....
Do u know how many people just lose their winnings on the next Bets they make ???
stop being a richard
Its not the sportbooks in Casino's making the money....its the other ones, the guys down the street or on an island....a allot more $ is wagered outside of Casinos....so you have more of an opportunity to have illegal fudging from the cigar boys if you follow me....and it happens...Vegas has no effect on fudging games...its the other side man.

NBA is still fishy. There's just too much the refs can do to influence games. I've seen too many phantom fouls with seconds left. I also have seen too many stars getting that 2nd foul early in the 1st Q. I think there may be the occasional shadiness in college ball, but most pro sports are on the level.
