I feel as if NCState had a good team last night....but I think I got by Cincy's coaching staff. State didn't put them away when they could have (was 14-0 and should have been 28-0) and Cincy's coaches didn't make the adjustments to make them pay.
IMHO, they didn't make ANY adjustments.

I'm with you on Nevada and here is why..... In Tedford's tenure, California has only won twice!!! on the road when his team is outrushed. Winning once by 2 last season @ Ariz. St and by 7 in 2007 @ Oregon where they had a huge turnover edge 4-0. Nevada is the best rushing team in the nation now and will be near the top at the end of this season. Nevada runs their way to a win tonight. If anyone is interested, I have a few dogs I love tomorrow also.

I don't know how you would measure the best rushing team in the nation. But to average 7.4 ypc for the season (2.2 yards better than 2nd place) and 345 yards per game (50 yards better than 2nd place with 185 less attempts), I would think that would make you the best rushing team in the nation.

Nice writeup on the Cal/Nevada game. The only thing that scares me in that game is the fact that E. Washington ran up 432 yards vs that Nevada defense at home. If E. Wash. can run up tht many yards i don't even want to imagine how much Cal can go for with Riley. I was leaning Nevada but after looking deeper through the stats it might be a no play for me.

Yeah, sometimes those are tough to decipher.....was this EWash's Super Bowl....did Nevada overlook them in their week one opener? Is there any excuse at all. That's the call you have to make. Exactly! How do you really judge who has the number one rushing offense? That stat is so misleading. If you are in the top two of a weak WAC conference for the past 3-4 years, how do you not average a high YPC? It doesn't mean you have the best rushing offense in the nation when other conferences by comparison are stacked on defense. Both teams going into tonight are 2-0 by a large margin over their opponents. None of the teams played thus far were anything to brag about, but Nevada giving up 24 points to Eastern Washington a Division 1AA team? I get that Nevada will put some points up on the board, but Cal should score almost everytime they have possesion. I actually see this game going under the total as both will try to establish the running game and eat up clock. I don't really want to see Riley throw the ball at all anyway. Yes Riley scares me when he passes the ball because he doesn't always make the best decisions. I think too much time will be taken off the clock for the total to go over. Infmus02 - how would you feel if Easter Wash would have had 280 yards of offense and lost 49-10.
Because 150 yards and 2 scores came off of 2 plays (82 yard pass and 72 yard run).
I don't know how many subs Nevada played with in the 2nd half. But take away EWash 82 yard pass in the 1st half and Nevada held them to 100 yards total offense and 3 points.
I know you can't take plays away, and take yards off the board. But those 82 (154) yards might be something that is easily fixed via coaching.
Take away the 74 yard run, and they are averaging 3.5 ypc instead of 4.9
I think you'd feel a lot better taking Nevada had those been the stats in the box score.
