A single game thread, in the wrong forum, covers by 15 pts, and gets 10,000 hits. Do you ever really need to defend yourself ? Beyond impressive. Sorry I missed it. Keep up the ever so charitable work and I hope to profit in the future.

I am already betting temple. PJ walker is playing and I love the way he runs the offense. As long as you were at least LEANING towards them, that's all I need to know. I'm not the kind of person who is going to come back on here and be like "SCAL CHOSE TEMPLE AND THEY LOST BY 4 OMG LIFE IS AWFUL." Just looking for some confirmation on my read!!

Appreciate the love Gents. An early Christmas present. Now let's have PSU come through for us and then get and NFL play.

    Morphine,

    I'll make it snappy:

I was on Temple all week. The product on the field is superior and the defense is peaking at the perfect time. I'm far more impressed with shutouts than I am with 75-66 point scores. Temple has done that.

Also, the Army loss is meaningless. Different Temple team just getting to know its defensive capabilities. In fact the loss is a GOOD thing because they were an option team that prepared them early for this spot. I like that they just played Tulane, another option team. A nice little scrimmage for this game, like a sparring partner in boxing. Tulane is nothing compared to Navy but it was nice to see Temple shut out and option team: very hard to do.

Here is why I came off: the play got muddied up. Walker's health, the "Navy will ruin the bowl schedule" headlines (which will motivate them).

Also it was a dreary rainy week all week in NJ/Philly. I don't think Temple has the facilities to practice indoors. I might be wrong on that but I'm pretty sure. If they practiced in this weather, it will have hampered them. Tackling not as sharp, footing poor, fog limiting sight.

Different from Laramie where those guys are used to all that unpredictability.

You need to be PREPARED very quickly to play a team like Navy. That is why I'll be scouting whoever plays Navy in a bowl. A month to prepare is ideal. Temple has had 4 days to prepare with an off day and a travel day. That's a very short time.

I hate that the game is at noon too. This is a military academy. This guys are wide awake at 5am, ready to go. They may be up for 7 hours at noon. It was tough to come off this play but ultimately PSU won by a nose. Hopefully Temple wins for you and others who took them.

The only reason you believe I went all in is because Hugh_Jorgan keeps parroting that. It is a capped political prop. There are limits to that bet. You should know this if you've been betting for more than a year. Exotics have caps far smaller than regular bets. He's where he belongs and should stay their for good. I took a hit on that with about 10 parlays (all legs won) wrapped up with her ML. It was a tough pill to swallow. But my sports capping has always kept my bankroll more than healthy. I turned the tv off and was more angry at the result of the election, not the bets. I'm not worried because in 2020 I'll win it all back tenfold when the Dems win the presidency.

I love your sports handicapping, and as someone who had 8 large on Trump 4 to 1, I will give you a piece of advice.   And this is coming from a Canadian with no vested interest in American politics other than profiting from public/MSM misconceptions.

If you follow any kind of geopolitics (and I do) you will know that Brexit/UKIP in England, Front National in France, AfD in Germany, the FPO in Austria, are all winning their elections.  There is a reason why the Republicans swept the Rust Belt.  AfD hasn't won in Germany yet, but if you want to win big money (odds will probably be in the area of 40-50 to 1) put your money there.

There is a reason why all of these right-wing parties are winning.  Political correctness is dead.  People are tired of being called racists when all they want is a decent paying job and a safe community.

It's your money, and you can do what you want with it, but barring some kind of unforeseen miracle, Trump will serve 2 terms.  I guarantee it.

I love your sports handicapping, and as someone who had 8 large on Trump 4 to 1, I will give you a piece of advice.   And this is coming from a Canadian with no vested interest in American politics other than profiting from public/MSM misconceptions.

I would bet you that 8K you are wrong.

You've oversimplified the result of this election.

While what you say is true for many of the GOP voters, the reality Trump received FEWER votes than than Romney in 2012, and lost the popular vote by a larger margin, hence there was no groundswell of GOP support that is being blared about based on the issues you stated.

He won by 80,000 votes COMBINED in Wisconsin,Michigan and Pennsylvania. That's not even the crowd for a Longhorns game. That won him the election.

The real reason he won, in the large part, was low Dem turnout due to the Debbie Wasserman DNC scandal that LITERALLY rigged the nomination for Hillary. This is not in debate and not the kind of "rigging" Trump is hilariously touting (hilarious because he went on for 6 months about it...and won). Ardent Bernie supporters did not bother to show up. Many WANTED trump to win as a backlash against the DNC. It worked.

More millenials/More monoritoes/stronger candidate in 2020. Save the 8K and bet sports only. This is your ONLY warning.

Bernie could have won, we all agree. But who in their right mind is gonna trust the DNC now? Wikileaks has completely annihilated their credibility. And people like Donna Brazile and Nancy Pelosi are NOT the people to turn it around.

oh no no no...  8k is what I bet at +400

I totally agree with what you are saying.  The Bernouts lost her the election, agree 100%.  But here's the thing - even after he won, everyone in the mainstream media, facebook/twitter/instagram world still think he is a 'racist mysoginist xenophobe _insert_liberal_buzzword_here'.  And face it, it doesn't matter whether he wins by a million votes or one vote.  He won the election and no amount of liberal tears will change that.  So be gracious in your defeat, like they were telling Trump for months to 'accept the results of the election.  How quickly the left forgets.

They don't realize he is the next Reagan.  He will be the best thing to happen to your country since Reagan.  Look at OSU.  Another muslim extremist, plain as day, but the headlines still read "Officials still trying to find a motive for the attack"

There is no motive, those people are fanatic zealots who get off on 'beheading those who insult Islam' or 'death to the infidels' or similar ideals.   Yet the media STILL won't condemn them or say the truth, they won't say the words RADICAL ISLAMIC TERRORISTS.  Trump works with Russia, cuts the head of the snake, so to speak, and the people will LOVE him for it.

The wall is what, 20 billion?  That's a tiny drop in the bucket compared to the 110b they spend YEARLY on illegal immigration.  There will be so much economic spin-off created from that...  The jobs, the logistics, the materials, etc... Like I said, I really don't give two craps other than the fact that he will make my portfolio grow like a bad weed.  Of course, only time will tell, and he's only one man, but if he goes through with most of the things he has promised, America will be entering a Golden Age and the people will vote him in again in 2020 by a landslide.

I brought up those other countries because the Soros machine, the refugee migration machine has been exposed.  People want to take care of their own before spending so much to take care of others who only want to come into their country to hurt them anyway.  Nationalism is the future, and I for one, couldn't be any happier.

I don't want to flood the board with politics, and I'm sure you don't want to converse with a 'nazi' such as myself, but if you want to chat feel free to PM.

Cajun, there is a massive amount of falsities and misinformation in this post, so much so I fear this thread will go on for 500 posts answering to it.

If there's one thing I've learned at Covers, you can't change a zebra's stripes or a leopard's spots, yours or mine.

So let's leave it at that and spend our time capping games. To you to Casey.

I've always been suspicious of some posters trying to work 'against the grain' spreading false-hearted plays to counter bookies liabilities on the other side.....

Thats why, I try not to make friends with everyone since you dont know who will stab you in the back....better to rely on trusted posters and community people. By and large, I recognize you attract the MAJORITY of those kind of people to your site and many of them are long time posters. It still bugs me though that some are thin-skinned and dont recognize that its an experiment and proposition to make a large bet so doing your DD and analyzing it from most angles and even sometimes the tiniest thing can really help firm up a conviction and higher percentage win rate overall.....you most definitely help with that.

I hope to see you on the NCAAB forums after NCAAF is over

    Scal,

Hit St Johns pick and many in the past thanks to YOU! Consistently follow your picks, and always find some angle or info that I like to add to my own toolbag of picks and leans. Used some of your same angles in the SJ win, with Ole Miss today -4.5. Large favorite in previous outing and lost straight up badly. Unusually high or low shooting percentages in previous outing. Feel the angle applies tonight as well.

    Colorado -5

I took a hit on that with about 10 parlays (all legs won) wrapped up with her ML. It was a tough pill to swallow. But my sports capping has always kept my bankroll more than healthy. I turned the tv off and was more angry at the result of the election, not the bets. I'm not worried because in 2020 I'll win it all back tenfold when the Dems win the presidency.
