Freak,
I agree with your Tennessee friend and I'm sure many Vols fan agree with us about hoping Tennessee get beat by 60 points so we get new head coach.
Not sure if you know that Tennessee have the biggest recruiting budget ($2,000,000 / year). Imagine having a decent coach at UT. we would finish in the top 5 recruiting every year.
I hate to see Tennessee get beat up by Bama but since we're going to lose anyway we might as well lose BIG so maybe we will get new coach!
Bama win 27-13 but hoping for 60-0 ![]()

Yeah, Tennesse was there very year in recruiting. Before the internet, it seemed like it use to be between Notre Dame and Tennessee for #1 & #2 every year. The problem is that Fulmer has never maximized his talent. He should have at least 3 national championships.
Here's to 60-0 ![]()

FREAK OUT!!!
Well, my under play went all to hell..almost at HT, so much for a great Defense in Auburn. And I don't know what to make of WVU, it took them 8 weeks to get there shit together, but boy did they..that is the WVU that I am used to betting on, hopefully they will continue this trend, so I can make some $$$$ off them. We have a long weekend ahead of us..I got my AF win (cha-ching)..and lost the Over there (not as much as the game), and I got my 2H AF and under...Freak, no worries, we will get them tomorrow night and this weekend...
I'm glad to hear you hit your Air Force bet!!! Yeah, I am absolutely stunned by what West Viginia did to Auburn's defense. They absolutely shredded them the entire game. Only 2 early interceptions prevented them from scoring more. Basically Auburn never stopped them. They just ran at will.
Well, congrats West Virginia backers!!!

Wow Freak the Alabama line is now only 4.5? i got it at 6.5 a few days ago. Why is there such a big dro? any injuries ?
I believe some touts have released Tennessee as a play which has caused heavy action on Tennessee. Realize, however, that touts many times give heavy weight to historical data. That data is really not relevant in my opinion because that data was collected during Bama's probation depleted years. It was also collected while Bama had no coaching stability. In other words, Saban wasn't the coach.
I am very confident in this play primarily because I think Tennessee will struggle to score points just like they have all season. Tennessee's QB Nick Stephens will be making only his fourth collegiate start in his career and, as one would anticipate, he has been very shaky thus far. This will also be the first time Stephens has seen a 3-4 defense. Expect Saban to throw many different looks to confuse him into making mistakes.
Both teams will have the same basic strategy on defense. Both will sell out to stop the run and force the opposing QB to beat them through the air. That is a matchup that drastically favors Bama not only because John Parker Wilson is a vetern 3-year starter who has outstanding offensive weapons, but because Bama has a superior offensive coordinator. If Bama jumps out to an early lead, that will spell huge trouble for Tennessee, because if they are forced to try and win with their the passing, this game will likely get out of hand quickly.
The other factor that heavily favors Bama is coaching. Without going into great detail, this is Bama's biggest game of the year, and Saban prepares for this game all year. He will pull out a lot of things Tennesse has not seen on tape. I also would not be at all surprised to Saban to pull out a trick play or two (something he almost never does). Last year he opened the game with a successful onside kick. On the other sideline you have a very incompetant coach in Phat Phil.
Last year when Bama had inferior talent, Saban drastically outcoached Phatty and Tennessee was blown out 41-17. Expect Phat Phil to be drastically outcoached again.
In sum, don't let the line fluctuations discourage you.
Final score prediction: Bama 31 Vols 13
