Duke vs. Memphis is 54. Where do you see 49?

The total opened at 49/49.5 it spiked up today all the way to 54 in about 2 hours. I know because I bet the line a few hours after the bet was available.

  I bet the Duke @ Memphis on Tuesday, so I picked it up at 49.5.  Right Angle Sports released the OVER in the Duke @ Memphis game this afternoon, and that moved the total up to 53 & 53.5.  I still like it at the number.  I think this will be a close game with overtime potential, and I think both teams will push the 30-point mark.

And I would like to add that I have the utmost respect for Jimmy's opinions but I didn't see any discussion of A&M offense and wanted to make a comment on that, that is all.  I agree that Bama O will have a field day, no disagreement at all there

My SAME exact problem this week.  I usually only play 5-6 games a week, this week i have 10 that I like A LOT.

BOL this week, Get Money

I'll have a write up of Tulsa a little bit in my thread that I post later.  But the short way of saying it is: Tulsa has a habit of coming out flat & ugly in week 1 (as I stated last week when I still bet them), & in week 2 when they typically have their home opener, they come out and DEMOLISH their opponent.  I'd be very confident that tulsa wins by 2 TD's at the least.  I could continue & will in my thread, but keep in mind that Tulsa could have easily been up 13-6 at the half last weekend at BG.

another stat for ya vice since i was born Bama is 21-0 in their SEC opener. So when they beat A&M you'll know it was because of me

Just a quick question, how do you know what Right Angle releases?  Do you have access to their selections?

Duke @ memphis should cover easily at 49, would not be surprised to see this total end up 57 before kickoff. Duke has been good offensively now for the last couple of years and not know for their defense. Memphis has some pop in there offense and usually struggle on defense, I agree with jimmy should end up somewhere in the 60s.

Duke@memphis 54 at heritage, Jimmy's best bets has a solid chance of going 3 and o agree with many those picks OK ST should explode for 60 or more points. Tulsa is much better than last weeks performance if this were week one I see tulsa favored by 15 or more.

Agree for the most part.  Disagree that Wake is terrible in road conference games.  In 2011 Wake lost to Clemson and North Carolina on the road, and beat Duke and Boston College.  In 2012 they lost to Florida State, NC State, and Maryland, and beat Virginia.  In other words, over the past two seasons they played 4 teams on the road they had zero chance beating regardless of where the game was played, and they play 4 teams that were essentially on their level.  Of those 4, they won three of them.  Their only loss was by 5 points to Maryland.

I love Jim Grobe, and love backing him in these type of toss up games, especially when he's getting points.  I don't think there is a coach in the country that gets more out of less than Grobe.  I mean holy schnikes this guy won the ACC one year with nothing.  I also think Wake has the better QB.

In sum, I will back the team with the better coach and better QB getting points in a game I think they'll win outright.

The other advantage is that it allows me to buy points without paying vig.  When I buy points in a parlay, I sacrifice payout in lieu of paying vig.  And because the majority of parlays are losers, even the reduced payout is usually not a factor.  Overall, I think it maximizes upside potential while minimizing downside risk.

I really didn't look at that very closely, but it does seem a bit high.  The higher the scoring, the bigger trouble BYU is in.  I just don;t see them scoring much.  I might put a little something down on that.

Speaking of lines that seem high, the UAB/LSU line seems high to me at 62.5.  Curious what your thoughts are.
