Freak, Luv the Bama, Noles, and LSU picks. I'll be playing them also. I also think Ole Miss is going to have a very good year. Vandy will slide back a little. I think Miss covers easily based on talent alone. Would like your opinion on USC -22, Fresno St 10, and Maryland -20. I believe the Trojans will have a bounce back year. Way too much talent for Hawaii to keep up with. Even though Fresno loses Rouse, I don't think Rutgers can stay in the game. FIU is horrible and can't see how Maryland doesn't run it up on them. Would like your thoughts.

I didn't see this on your "Best Bet" list earlier, but I absolutely agree with it. I will be on Pitt Under BIG.
Btw, no biggie, but I was hoping to see how the TT Unders have done for you in the past on Week 1. 
Team totals are a pain in the behind to bet, because the books don't post them until the last minute, and they hit you up for extra vig. I don't see why the books can't come out with team totals at the same time they come out with the regular totals. They seem to be really paranoid about TT for some reason.
I have no plans to bet any team totals at this time. What I was saying is that I have FSU -10 as a "Best Bet." That means I'm tacitly betting on Pitt to go UNDER their TT, and FSU to go OVER theirs. I'm not going to actually bet the team totals.

Any lost weekends planned this year? By that I mean, any softball tourneys or road trips scheduled that would preclude you from crushing the books?

I could have a hiccup or two, but not aware of anything at this time. There will certainly be some softball happening, but that really doesn't effect me during the week when I'm actually capping games.

I appreciate the comments Wahoo. I don't know about brilliant. Right now I'm just trying to cash my first ticket of the season.
With respect to my Alabama play, if I "Max Bet" a game that means I think the game will cover by quite a bit, and history usually shows this to be the case. Therefore, small line movements don't effect my opinion of the play.
I get asked that question all the time. "Hey Jimmy, the line moved 1 or 2 points against your "Max Bet" play. Should I still bet it." The answer is yes. If I'm confident a play will cover by DD over and above the posted line. One or two points mean nothing to me.
In last season's Michigan game, I gave someone 16.5 points mainly to illustrate I would still make the bet at that line. I said I would have set that line at 17. I also gave someone Notre Dame +13.5. Looking back on those bets we can see neither of those inflated lines were ever really in jeopardy. Maybe a little bit in the Michigan game when the score was 34-14, but if you watched the game, Michigan never really threatened to close within 17.
So confident am I in my "Max Bet" plays that I always put one unit on the alternative line at +300. So when it is released, I'm hoping to be able to get the an alternative line around 25 or so Even at 25, I still really like the bet.
I have said on several occasions that if I were setting the line for the Alabama/Virginia Tech game, I would make it 24. And even at 24, I think Alabama would cover. That should put some perspective on my alternative line bet @ -25.
That said, I would NOT "Max Bet" this game at a line north of 23.5. In fact I'm not sure that I would "Max Bet" it north of 21. In other words, I would not completely throw caution to the wind and throw huge money on this game with no regard for the line whatsoever, because that's certainly not the case.
My confidence in this game is rooted in my firm belief that Alabama will score in the 40s, and that Virginia Tech will likely not score more than 7.
