When one team barely misses out on playing for the national championship and their consolation prize is playing a bowl game against a non-BCS opponent: they don’t want to be there.
Is this really that hard to figure out?

VT could easily play in the SEC ...lets just use LAST NIGHT as a comparison
Aw, the old “Team A beat team B and team B beat team C therefore team A would beat team C” logic. Always reliable.

Bama was one quarter away from playing in the national championship game, instead they chocked late and got slated to play a non-BCS school in a bowl game. Do you honestly think Bama wanted to be there?
Once again it’s a BCS school that doesn’t want to be there vs a non-BCS school playing the biggest game in their school's history.
You can read as much into that as you like.

Aw, the old '' no logic ''.....you truly hate BOISE dont you ? Ive seen you in a number of threads now, STILL ranting....You're doing the same thing as this guy you just joked on...'' IF boise played in conference A instead of B they would be worse than team C because team C beat team D who.''..ahhhh bullshit.....this happens every year with Boise...every year people pop up to talk shit, and every year Boise State shows up and wins these games....will they and have they always done it ? no, but they have a pretty strong record against ''top'' teams..I think it was 4 or 5 and 1 against top 10 teams...nuff said

Thats my point. Its the EXACT SAME argument you used...only you referred to a game that happened several YEARS ago....I decided a game that happen HOURS ago was more fitting....
Dont come with weak shit dude. As you can see, you've already been proven wrong and then you eben said the logic you used was not reliable. Come on man.

Nope. Don’t hate them all. I enjoy watching them play.
When was the last time Boise played against a good team and didn’t have 30+ days to prepare for that one opponent?
About 2/3 of SEC teams’ schedules are made up of teams that are capable of beating them. 2/3 of Boise’s schedule is made up of high school teams. It’s a hell of lot easier to have a good record against ranked teams when you almost always have 30+ months to prepare for them. Try playing 3 of them in 3 weeks.

Hawaii didn't beat TCU, Oregon, Oregon St, Oklahoma or Va Tech
Boise continues to beat whoever is put in front them
no comparison between those two teams, they are nothing alike

No one in this thread said that. Grow up loser.
Ask the Mod who banned him.
You started this thread just to argue....I guess you didn't expect the whole forum to own you all at once.
But I guess you are right and the world is wrong.

I have always been of the opinion that IF these so called inferior teams were in the BS Conferences, they would also be able to get the BS Conference's talented atheletes. They make do with want the big boys don't want or overlook. Give them credit for reaching a higher level. It's not their fault that they come from a non BS Conference. Maybe they won't be undefeated in the SEC, Big 10 etc. but if you get in those conferences, their size, speed and depth would be greatly enhanced and they will be very competitive.
Everybody likes the underdog. Except for those that play college football and are from the arrogant BS Conferences. You never hear bitching in the Tournament when a Butler or a Gonzaga makes a run.

VT could easily play in the SEC ...lets just use LAST NIGHT as a comparison
It took a last minute, come from behind drive, to pull off a win against a VT team that totally self destructed in the first quarter, along with the fact that the VT coaching staff ( once again )were outcoached from start to finish and that the 2 penalties on the final drive whether correct or incorrect moved Boise 30 yards closer. It was a dogfight, Boise did what had to be done to win, and congrats to them, because I didn't think they could. but nevertheless alot of things had to go wrong for VT, in order for them to get the win. The point that StraightShooter and many more in this forum is trying to make is that, Boise doesn't have to worry about going to practice, all bruised up and beat up, trying to get ready to face a LSU, Georgia, Auburn, or better yet, Florida or Alabama the following week, like everyone in the SEC does week in and week out. How many times have you seen a team have a letdown the week after a game of lastnights magnitude? It happens all the time people, and the competition level, week in and week out is why Boise would be like the other mid level teams in the SEC, and lose 3-4 games a year.

For fucks sake. This is retarded. What does Georgia beating Hawaii 3 or 4 years ago have to do with anything?
Beat an SEC team? So you're saying they couldnt beat:
Vandy
Tennessee
S Carolina
Kentucky
Georgia
Florida
Miss
Miss St
LSU
Arkansas
Auburn
Alabama
Give me a fuckin break....The ONLY teams that would probably beat Boise St are Florida (probably not this year) and Bama...the rest I would make Boise the favorite in...
Peterson would be the best coach in the SEC...by far
So whats your point? 1 or 2 teams would probably beat Boise?
