Overall going 6-6 and picking up 3 units. The Auburn / SC total I played 5 units and should have played it at 10 minimum. I said it was the total play of the year and I should have acted on it. But whatever, It's bowl season...let's do this.


Ten things we learned

1. Special teams mean everything. If any of you have ever read my thoughts on special teams, then you know how important i think they are. Thursday I won a decent sized bet because a team never gave up on special teams. Thank you ASU.... I would rather be lucky than good any day.
2. I m not going to give my South Carolina brothers too much of a hard time. These guys just ran into a damn good football team. S.C is a very good team this season....problem is, Auburn is that much better.
3. Oregon took care of business this weekend. Anyone really surprised? Not me... They beat a bad football team in Oregon S.T. I know everyone on this board is in love with Auburn these days. But the boys from Eugene can play football. I cant wait for this championship game.
4. The Apple Cup was a pretty good game. You know the Apple cup... Hey, the Apple Cup! What the hell do you mean you don't know who plays in the apple cup. LMAO...I will leave it at that.
5. Talk about a fall from grace. Not only did Nebraska loose a 17 point lead, they got man handled in the process. This kid Taylor Martinez is a joke. The kid throws a damn football like hes throwing a sack of potatoes.. WTF!! Somebody work with this kid for goodness sake. My prediction for Nebraska in the future... Dark and Cloudy.
6. UCONN really might be the worst BCS team since..... well, the last Big East team. We always talk about who should get in or who should get out. But hell, we need to talk about kicking the Big East out of the Automatic qualifying. I will say this tho, if UCONN is getting more than 14 points... Give me UCONN.. This team is very well coached and has heart. I 'll take 4 all day.
7. Congrats to V.T. These guys could have easily folded up after that horrible start. But, they have looked very good the last 10 weeks and oddly enough they have looked very good offensively. Beamer is a good Coach and I hope they keep this guy as long as he wants to coach.
8. A BIG Shout out to Miami Ohio. Not because I took the 18 Friday. But, because they won SU as a 18 point dog in a championship game. The MAC....Where dreams come true. I don't really know why I said that... WTF is wrong with me?

post of the year and I couldn't agree more, one of the most overrated coaches in all of college football, been saying it for years, to think that guy gets a coaching job like Penn St or Miami in the future is laughable

UCONN is very capable of losing by 2 tds or more.
Louisville shut them out 26-0 , Mich beat them by 20, and Temple beat them by 2 TDs

I'm going top miss reading this every week when the seasons over. Good work this year. I was at the SEC championship, and booked my Plane ticket to Glendale halfway through the 3rd quarter. I can't wait, it has the makings of a great one.

AUB seems to have found some D they're going to be tough to beat.

The Apple Cup was fun to watch - and is a stand-alone example of why CFB is the best sport in the world.  I actually thought the game in Pulman was better than any of the conference title games in antiseptic, pro stadiums. The only thing missing was a little snow.

Funny story.  I'm in this football weekly pick sheet with a friend of mine.  Top 10 plays rank them from 1-10, 10 being your strongest pick.  I wanted Uconn at 10 points, he didn't.  We originally had them at a 1.  I changed that shit to a 10 behind his back.  I was sweating out that final 2 minutes!

GL during bowl season.  I'll take Uconn +17.  OU never plays well in BCS games.

This line is stupid. Edsall will have his boys ready to play. Will they win? Probably not... But that doesn't mean 17.5 points is a reasonable line for a BCS game.

I like UCONN to stay within 17.5 also.  This line is inflated.  UCONN is tough and should be able to control the clock on the ground.  GL this bowl season, Boom.
