If any team should have a chip on their shoulder, it would be Ball St. They got schmooooked last year @ home. They're rightly favored and the line is begging you to take C Mich.
They dont have to beg me to take the chips I would take them at a pick em game. I truely think that they will win outright.

OK time to finish this little guy up. Ball St's first road game was at a place where a lot of teams struggle in Akron. Well at 31-10 after the 3rd quarter, Ball St hardly had a problem in this one. They had just under 500 yards of total offense and showed that deadly balance that teams can not contend with. Ball St did turn the ball over twice which is a concern, but weve seen that isnt CMY's forte. More importantly, Ball St. forced 5 turnovers from the Akron squad and won the T.O.P. battle by 10 minutes. The scariest part of this game is the fact that Ball St. actually struggled in this one. Their next road performance was in Indiana where they conquered 42-20. Not bad considering they lost their star receiver in this game. That can be quite a loss to suffer mid-game and this team showed they are focused by not allowing it to effect them. They committed 2 turnovers and also forced 2. MiQuale Lewis ran for 166 yards and 4 td's and absolutely wore down the Indiana defense. He dominated this game in the 2nd half and Ball St.'s Defense didnt allow a 2nd half point. They get better as the game goes on. Ball St. had 463 total yards and amazingly only had 9 3rd downs all game long. The major stat from this game that scares the hell out of me is Kellen Lewis ran for 150 yards for Indiana. Lewis is their QB and much like Lefevour, he isnt afraid to take off. I think the Ball St. defense will have a devil of a time with LeFevour on the ground tongiht and this confirms it Luckily for Ball St., he threw zero touchdowns and had 2 interceptions. They seem to be good at taking away one part of a teams attack. The next game was @ Toledo and this was a yawner. They were only winning 3-0 at halftime even though they were dominating. They committed zero turnovers, had 482 yards with an amazing balance of 240 yards in the air and 242 on the ground. Lewis ran for 160 yards again and Davis had an efficient 60% completion percentage and 242 yards. They only allowed 150 yards total and just completely hegemonized this squad. Next battle was in Western Kentucky and they started off slowly yet again. Either way they were winning 24-0 and was never in danger of losing. They turned the ball over 1 times and forced 3. They only amassed 355 yards against Big Red. If the play like this they may struggle tonight. Western Kentucky had a running quarterback who once again had success on the ground. I really think CMU will be able to put up points tonight. Most recently, in a game we all remember(Bibendi Special's lone dark spot) Ball St. went into Miami(OH) and won 31-16 winning the 2nd half 14-3. Once again, seems a trend of start pretty slow and dominating late. They ended up with 484 total yards with a 290/190 split. They had an extremely difficult time stopping Miami on 3rd down however. Miami was 9/16. On the other side, Ball St. was 6/9 as they rarely were forced to 3rd down. They gain yards in chunks. Lewis had 165 yards on the ground, about his average on the road and this seems to be what they try to do. They wear down the other team in the 1st half with lots of hard runs and some play action passing. Then the defense gets beat up and they dominate the 2nd half. This game was not as close as the final score indicated though. They went 4 and out from the 1 yard line early on and had a redzone turnover late. Both of which they cant afford tonight. They only forced one turnover on the first possession of the game and will need to do more of that tonight. The defense was susceptible to the big play and needs a better performance tongiht.
All in all, Central Michigan will get theirs, but they wont be able to stop Ball St. Ball St. has too much balance(I know ive used the word 100 times) for CMU and all Lewis needs lately is a crack. Nate Davis is a 3 year started so I dont expect many jitters out of this great quarterback. They dont turn the ball over excessively and CMU doesnt create turnovers. CMU will have success running the ball with LeFevour for sure, but not having a solid running back will come back to haunt them. Ball St. will probably try to wear down CMU in the 1st half and the game will close. I'm thinking something like 17-14 Ball St. and the Chippewas stadium will be rocking. Ball St. will come out with a few extended drives in the 2nd half and build up a decent lead before CMU scores a late td to make it interesting. They wont be able to stop Ball St. late and it will cost them. I think it is a great game but Ball St. just has too much balance on offense and shouldnt commit the costly turnover that causing the upsets to happen. Hoping for shootout city.
Ball St- 38
