Stoops has never been an innovator.....likes to think he can out think his opposition but rarely does...and can't bring in the 5 star recruit like Saban and some others....look at what Boise St did to him a few years ago......It was almost like watching a Switzer coached game plan against Nebraska that night....Ask 100 Sooner fans if they'd trade Stoops straight up for Switzer and 99 would vote yes.

If someone wants to talk about his only nat'l championship 11 years go...it was really a fluke....we all know who really won that championship and who made that season don't we??...Mike Leach's fingerprints were all over that team....and the OU D that year was mostly players he didn't recruit....

I believe out of respect for the homer BS you may have left Dabo Swinney out of that list but its not fair he deserves a spot in the 2011 top 5 all day long and i say that without kissing you're ass!!!

1.  Gary Pinkel - this guy consistently does less with more than anyone in the country

2. Dennis Erickson - the fire went out a long time ago

3. Ricky - If the state of California wasn't dead broke, if he hadn't QB'd the Bruins, if him and Dan Guerrero weren't joined at the hip  he'd have been out way before now

Paul Johnson with a better offensive mind than Petrino? 

 He also has Ted Roof running the defense,Trooper Taylor taking care of the recruiting and pretty much running the practices,and last year he also had Tracy Rocker (now with the Titans) developing the defensive line.

Saban is the best if you count that as the package

but pure coaching from a getting a team ready to X's & O's, I'll take Chris Peterson all day long (he is the best out there in my opinion)

if Saban coaches until he is in his mid 80's he would wipe Paterno's record by 100
