Seriously JImmy? Defense I agree, but offense cant be included simply based on QB play. You think if BAMA had Weeden or Jones they would have lost to LSU?
I'm saying talent across the board, not individual comparisons of offenses. Clearly there are offenses that are better than both Alabama and LSU, but when comparing the totality of the talent on both sides of the ball, Alabama and LSU are above the rest.
Quite frankly, the only reason that Alabama's offense is as good as it is is becasue they usually just out-talent the opposition. They couldn't do that to LSU and we saw what happened. Talent has never been Alabama's problem. As I have stated many, many times before, their problem is Jim McElwain.

Why are you the only Bama fan that realizes this about Mcelwain. I get verbally yelled at for bringing it up every year when they lose games

skull drug? this guys priceless, Wisconsin would be beatdown by both oregon and also stanford. As for Alabama they can even hit field goals, 5 in a row to be exact. take away the pass game for alabam and they become one dimentional team, as is LSU so stop the madness, Skull-drugged would be allowing Alabama to score at will which they don't.
DAAKUNT -
What are you talking about? If you take away the pass game from any team they become 1 dimensional. None of your sentences even make sense.

yeah thats why the BSC and the television make for a great match, who wants to see boring alabama Vs. LSu 2 obviosly not the ratings. we will see whos smoking crack. As for you LSU homes your time will come. Scandal will break and you'll be on suspension for numerous acts of fraud. We will wait patiently.

I don't usually take to name-calling but you are a dumbass- To quote you "take away Alabama's passing game and they become one dimensional" No shit! Take away any team's passing game and they beome one dimensional. YOU ARE A TOOL!
Another dumbass quote from you "Players who keepm staying in those confrences are thugs, cheats, and sikophants who could'nt cut it on the west coast, they like their perks and dollars for the bling. If you can prove to me otherwise then quite down,"
Probably the dumbest thing i have ever read on Covers. USC is the team that just got hammered by NCAA sanctions and they had a Heisman trophy winner who had to give back his trophy because of the payoffs he received. YOU ARE A TOOL!
By the way what is a "sikophant" ? AGAIN YOU ARE A TOOL- NO SUCH WORD - LEARN HOW TO SPELL
Yes USC ruled the college world for several years and had a good run- now they are on probation- too bad- and did i mention- YOU ARE A TOOL? TOOL BOY!
Wow, did'nt know you were that ignorant. You just completely contradicted yourself three times. Goes to show how stupid you really are and if spelling was a major concern of yours, and not the discussion you should take it else where. i highly doubt your fantasy LSU tigers are upstanding role models. it amazes the masses when people who have been on the planet for such a little length of time can talk aboiut what they think they know and what is a fact. your the same idiot who probably never played college football or did'nt make the high schoolteam but is a college student who knows little about the game.maybe should should learn some maners, you dont see me swearing or calling you names but to push your buttons and talk about LSU and how crappy they are is like telling your mama shes not gonna get my cock in her ass, the results the same, you both get hot.

Well I know you have heard me say it many times. I've typed it so much I think I have worn the keys out on my keyboard.
I am constantly amazed by Alabama fans who are worried about some school hiring McElwain away from Alabama. I just have to shake my head in disbelief.
First of all, what has McElwain shown that would give a college administartor the bright idea to hire him? How could anyone think that's a good idea?
Secondly, if some school were foolish enough to turn the reins of their football program over to McElwain, that will be the day I pop the cork on a bottle of Dom Perignon that I've been saving for a special occasion. My only concern would be whether Saban will exercise better judgement on his next hire.
Alabama has recruited more highly-touted, blue-chip 4* wider receiver prospects the last 4 years than any other school in the country (something like 12 or 3 per year). Where are all these supposed superstars? Nowhere. They never even see the field. I know they can play because I've seen them perform at a high level in practice.
They finally put Kevin Norwood in the game last week. They threw to him twice, and both catches led to points. Where has this guy been all year? Where was he against LSU when we really needed a big physical receiver to provide a size mismatch versus the Honey Badger? I don't think he ever saw the field.
Lastly, after losing to LSU, what Alabama needs more than anything to work their way back into the national championship discussion is style points. They need to beat every team as convincing as possible. Yet against Mississippi State, the offense was executing like they were fresh out of fall camp, not like a team that has been playing together for 9 weeks.
How Saban can stand on the sideline and watch this shitfest week after week and not take corrective action is beyond my comprehension. Honestly it is. If they put together a potent offensive attack like Arkansas' to go with Saban ridiculous defense, they'd never lose. As I said above, the problem is not a dearth of offensive talent. Any offensive coordinator in the country would bust a nut if they had the level of talent McElwain has to work with.

Are we talking about football or your magic eight ball? Let's talk about what's going on on the field and not what "scandals" you think are going to break at certain schools. After what happened last week I don't think any school is safe at anytime from turmoil.
What team is not 1 dimensional if you take away their pass game or vice versa?

College boy- nope i don't think so- 41 yrs old. You are the one making ridiculous statements. All major programs break NCAA violations. That is the nature of the beast. I never said LSU was clean. But they are not on NCAA sanctions so your arguement has NO merit. Saying SEC players are thugs who couldn't hang on the West coast just shows how immature you are. What does that even mean.
I started and played high school ball. Actually i played college ball for one year before i blew out my ACL, MCL and shattered my kneecap. That has nothing to do with this conversation.
I don't care what you say about LSU or any other SEC teams but back up your statements with facts or you sound like a TOOL. Plain and simple.
USC is on major probation and LSU is not. So STFU! Those are facts. Get over it and quit sounding like an immature little boy.
I'm all for good discussion but when it gets to calling players thugs and cheats i will draw the line and fire back.
People like you are why good cappers are leaving Covers and going elsewhere.

Daaking, Do you remember that USC is on probation and cannot play in post season for major recruiting violations? Please put some kind of conscious effort towards your thoughts before posting. It's called reading. Top to bottom. Left to right. Group words together to form sentences. Check out Alabama's and LSU's ATS this year. While you're at it, check out Alabama's defensive statistics and you'll find that they lead in every major category. I'll take a stellar defense over a high powered offense any day of the week. When is the last time a team from the Pac-10/12, other than USC, has won a NC? And FYI USC was caught cheating while they were on their run of NCs... An argument is much more effective when you post facts. Something that everyone on this thread has been doing except you.

whatya do , blow your knee capp out sucking the other players cocks? Bottom line is you have no credibility on talking about football, you have no ability to capp games if you need to look at others cappers posts and cant pick your own and finally, it's alot easier to take away the run than take away the pass, ALabam and Lsu have major flaws as top tier programs, very unbalanced and rely on defese to win games. The USC scandal has been going on for years and also players getting paid for work they do not perform in the SEC, Big ten and other confrences. Don't be foolish to think this isnt happening elsewhere, Oklahoma got caught in the basketball program, and yes it's happening in the football program. This game against Oregon and USC is their Bowl game, in a nut shell you will see great defense and great offense. Unlike the Alabama Vs. Lsu game there will be scoring, and if a fieldgoal is missed it'll be at the end of the game and not some preppy alabama kicker who sits on his ass and thinks...oh I play for alabama, I dont really think it's important to hit fieldgoals for 40 yrds out. Atop to bottom, Alabama is horrible in the pass game, they are weak in the defensive backfield and really have a mediocre off line. Trent does all the work. As for LSU no run game, and a decent pass game only limited because of horrible QB's. If your not seeing this then obviously your not on the level of juding talent for college football recruits. These two teams are great for what they are but in no shape or form in my book a top toer calibur championship team.

Do you even read your posts before you post them??? Alabama #1 Pass defense in the nation, FACT. Alabama's offensive line has an all-american tackle, a 1st team all-SEC center, and a 2nd team all-SEC tackle, FACT. As far as LSU, Ware could start at RB any Pac-12 school except for Oregon. Again, check your facts before you post. Or actually, don't check them. You're only making yourself look more transparent as a Pac-12 homer.

So what your saying is we should'nt even play the game , LSu and Alabama out class all other teams in the college division 1 programs and we should just crown them no. LOL, what a stupid post, not only are you talking about percentages of win loss ratio, but also probablitlity. Let's play the game in Oregon and not 3k miles away from home, add home ref's and more of a home crowd it's a different enviornment.Historicly, i've seen top tier programs travel to the west coast and lose out right favored by double digits. You never know what will happen even with the best talent. That's why they play the game.

LSU is ranked in the top 30 in the nation in rush offense avg just shy of 200 yards a game. Only 2 PAC-12 teams ahead of them, Oregon and Stanford. Stop posting comments that are false.

18th best running game in the nation and 1st in the SEC...yeah, our line is mediocre. Wow.
You have the 18th best rushing game only due to not being able to pass, there are other teams in college who have a better rushing game and passing game, so yes...... wow, your mediocre.

You really must not know how to read. I just said that just about all programs probably break NCAA violations. Did you read that in my post? Then you rant and rave how this happens elsewhere besides USC. I just said that you TOOL.
I have no credibility. I cap my own games you TOOL. This thread is about the BCS not capping games. And if you think LSU's run games sucks and Alabama's offensive line and defensive backfield is weak then YOU don't know anything and with each ignorant sentence you type YOU lose credibility. I am no Alabama fan but they have a very good offensive line, and probably the #1 corner in next's year's draft. Posters like you give are dirtying up the Covers forums. Oregon got beat 40-27. FACT - quit crying like a little girl- I think Oregon is a really good tream but LSU dominated in the trenches and their depth was too much for Oregon.
And what class you show by posting- and i quote "whatya do , blow your knee capp out sucking the other players cocks?"
Typical internet smack talker and hater. If you said that to my face that would be the last time you would talk to me like that. Trust me. I can't even believe i am wasting my time with someone as classless and ignorant as you. Quit smoking dope and grow up.

its blatantly obvious you are a Trojans fan and are upset that your team is good and not bowl eligible. Stating that either LSU or Bama arent good because they rely on their D to win is just ridiculous. A great D will beat a team with only a good O. Look at TCU they have turned themselves into a perennial powerhouse built off of D. Most Champ teams have a balance between special teams, O,and D. Those great USC teams had just as many D players go pro as they did O (Cushing, Maualuga,Matthews, Terrell Thomas, Polamalu) . Arkansas is the perfect example of a great O and a shitty D, if they could have slowed Trent Richardson just a little bit they would have not been pummeled in Tuscaloosa.
And before you call me a homer.. I do live in Baton Rouge but I am from NY. I do enjoy going to Death Valley and have become a Tiger fan but in no way do I or would I defend LSU like I may the Knicks or Yanks. I have been watching college FB fr 20+ yrs and do not have a "team". the SEC is currently one of the toughest conf week in and week out IMO. Everybody has their own perspective on what makes a champ caliber team, that is why there are 120 FBS teams. 120 diff ways to attempt to win a NC will certainly lead to some discord.

Under no circumstance will Alabama be playing either Oregon or Stanford. That is news I'm sure both Oregon and Stanford are celebrating because both would get skull-drugged by Alabama.
oh come on Jimmy! you think Oregon is scared of Alabama? you have to be fucking kidding me! that offense is so ridiculously inept... there is very little chance Alabama would stand of outscoring Oregon... maybe on their absolute best day...
how you guys can watch SEC football right now and think this is somehow on another level from what is being played elsewhere is phenomenally baffling!
