Not sure if I'll play this game yet, but you are using too much logic and making too many great points, which is unacceptable on this site...

The fact that you used the word panacea is even better. "You had me at panacea. You had me at panacea...."

Happy Thanksgiving and BOL regardless of outcome man

Dertydude ...  I think you may be right.  Bookies hate Scal.
    But Scal hates bookies.

    Scal ... FOR THE PEOPLE

Scal... Appreciate your input. A true find for me and others here.

BTW it's too bad Biden didn't run.  We wouldn't be shackled by this egomaniac Trump who among other things, threatens to ruin the environment for the next generation (our kids).

    Happy Thanksgiving Scal.
Keep doing what you do. Love the confidence and the cutting but humorous replies

This environment thing is about the silliest thing I've ever heard.

You know what harms the environment?  People.

You know who wanted to increase the number of people in this country with no upper limit at all?  Hillary.

Immigration is the worst thing there is for the environment, and increasing immigration was Hillary's top priority.  In other words, destroying the environment was her top priority.

The bulletin board is a good angle here because Arkansas has been as erratic as a squirrel on meth.   Focus is their friend and if they have it here it should be a wire to wire win.   Don't totally dismiss Mizzou's running game though... Ish Witter is not as explosive as Crockett, but he does have 4 more carries and still gets 4.7/carry so it's not a massive downgrade in playing time experience or production.

    Good luck scal

    Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Scallibrine, Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.  You are incredible.  You are a model for all those who post.  You don' t simply cite your selection, you give a rationale for it.  I wish it was a requirement for anyone recommending a team to give reasons for their choice.
Your rationale for Arkansas was definitive and objective.
I wish you and your family a very Happy Thanksgiving.  Please keep up the good work you do.

Now the libs are even crying in Scal's write-ups! LOL This is about football not your political views which are totally irrelevant to this thread! As for the thread itself, excellent write-up again and although I agree with Fluff that the over may be the play, appreciate your lengthy work as always!

If you are really playing in that game, you are dancing with the devil sir.

That game is underground. If it is, I'd be very worried about the characters I'd meet in that game and/or that place getting held up. There's massive amounts of money on the table in a game like that. It's a bad economy. People want that kind of easy money.

Good comments. This spot is solid. I am comfortable. If I am comfortable, that is just another star in grade for a play. I was not comfortable with several plays this year, still posted them and it didn't work out. I have followed Missouri. I may wait and entire year to fade a team. I did the same thing against New Mexico (waiting for the right time to fade) and it worked out well for us.

Let's just hope the Bills somehow, some way get a shot, just a shot to make the playoffs in the final week of the season @ NY Jets. It's a longshot at .500 but it's not dead.

THAT will be a MASSIVE play if the Bills are healthy at their key positions. You could bring back Namath, Gastineau, Klecko, Toon, Curtis Martin, and all the Jet greats and Rex will have his team ready to beat them on that day. He would have a heart attack on the field and deny medical attention if it meant losing to the Jets under those circumstances. So CHEER for the Bills because if we get that play, we are all going to make a hell of a lot of money!

Not true. Why? It only applies to ONE game vs. Georgia who they lost to 28-27 at home as 7 point dogs. In all the other home games they were favored and the public was on them.

Public wasn't on Vandy big. If they were, the line wouldn't have moved against Vandy from Mizzou -3 to Mizzou -3.5 (unless you want to talk reverse line movement and then the books screwed themselves because Mizzou covered all spreads).

Books had that line at Mizzou -3.5 the entire time or -2 and it went to -3.5 which means more money on Mizzou.

So we are only addressing ONE game vs. Georgia, a team that almost lost to Nichols state the week before and then got bombed by Ole miss the week after 45-14, showing their true colors in an early rough opening stretch which Mizzou could not beat them in. One cover is not enough to substantiate an argument.

    Anyhow, Happy

    Hi okay fair enough.

I work in finance but play on side (played full time for a bit too).  The games I play in are in nice high rise buildings and no cash at tables - all settle after with checks/wires.  I would never risk being in a seedy spot.

Lot of well schooled people play now.  I have few friends and we discuss polarity, convexity, post flop stack ratios, etc when we think about creating game theory optimal playing strategies.  It is much more mathematically and scientific than most think

If u change ur mind let me know.  Regardless good luck and thanks for all you do

Precisely, they are too well-schooled in fact. Which is why I essentially traded almost all my poker for capping. I couldn't believe how much the average player understood about the game at even the most benign limits. No advantage there.

Capping? Wow. I can't even begin to express how much of an advantage the average player has if they limit their volume with a slate of 60 games available. You can find ONE winner there. And I just preface that with staying away from the biggest games, as you noted, which have by far the sharpest lines.

The line on Bama/A&M was just glorious. -18 and it danced between that and -19.5. Amazing line setting. Vegas will get it wrong on the small conferences but they most certainly nail the big ones. Even this LSU/Bama -7 line was incredible. Beautiful.

No problem. I'll keep 'em comin'.

Great write-up Scal as always , I have tailed you over the past month and you have made me some nice coin and I appreciate that. Bottom line haters are going to hate no matter how good you are. I have made money with my posted picks in NBA, NHL, and NFL but the minute I have a bad day or week they are right there to point it out. Try to ignore the negative and keep posting your write ups I know a lot of members from the forum appreciate all your hard work and capping knowledge.
