We have something called "Smart Phones" now.

You can do everything you want to do in life and with your family, but you can also pop this thing out and write a post when there is a minute or two of downtime, of which there is several hundred when family is over and run out of things to talk about.

Go to your local "Smart Phone" provider and pick one up today!

And the last time you called a game meaningless (Memphis/SMU), I won 52-7. So please, bring on the meaninglessness!

Line dropping. Line rising. My bet was in long ago and if you want to experiment, go check the lines at 12:30 before kick-off and at 1pm EST. They fly up and down. These fluctuations are completely normal.

    I hope a few things:

    A) You enjoy answering these idiots...and if anything wish them well as the strongest of us forgive our enemies feel sorry for them and even try to help them--I have long ago learned not to be annoyed but the other ones are very challenging like in dealing with  my ex-wife

    B) I have never seen such a poor offensively coached program as Mizz the last few years and love kicking their behind anytime I can as they burned me last year a few times-the ineptitude was just gut wrenching...thank you for this pick and all the great work you do, sir!

Haven't watched Mizzou play one down of football this year.

    3-0 blind tailing.

Blind tail here looking for 4-0.

    Scal,
You make a strong case for Ar-Kansas. My only fear is that horrible D. Mizzou's back RB are solid so I'm not sure there will be a huge drop off there. However, the firing of the coach and Bielemas tendency to run it up on weaker teams is worth noting.

I think something to consider is grabbing the over for half of the Arkansas play. Arkansas needs 41 to get you no worse than a split. Considering SC got 31 and Florida 40 I think that is a pretty safe bet.

Love the fact that you provide reasons for your picks and you throw them out there. Don't love anything today but there are one or two I'm looking at for tomorrow. As strong as your argument was hereI'm going to ride the coattails and see if we can get this weekend started right.

    Great work and GL

Vern, if it doesn't involvd Laramie, we'll be fine!

Well let's talk about weak defenses.

    Ok/Texas - two awful defenses.

One team was obviously superior to the other, as is the case here.

But Texas had the Red River rivalry, Strong's job status (when it mattered), Texas at home (compare this to Mizzou's home field advantage), one of the best RB's in the nation, a young up and coming QB and STILL could only cover in the final minute with a backdoor.

Ark can run it up just like OK (not as good but they can pour it on if you motivate them which this Mizzou player has). How in the world can Mizzou respond in the same manner and with what purpose! And the coaching staff is dropping like flies.

These games align. You need similar advantages to cover spreads. Missouri has NONE of this. And that is at the core, analogously, why we fade them today, even ATS.

Ark TT over should then also be a good play...I used the same theory Wed. night with the Warriors...in fact I see many similarities-the Warriors had double revenge and the Lakers were missing Russell and Randle and I took 1H, FG and Warriors TT over 123  and all easily cashed...the Warriors broke a team record for assists-they were highly motivated to show the up and coming Lakers not so fast....

Oh, and add in the fact that this is Thanksgiving weekend and under normal circumstances the stadium is half full. Now given the student body is back home, it will be even less.

Think about that. You are PAYING 6 POINTS on the line for HF advantage. This line would be -14 in Ark. What 'advantage' does Missouri gain here? You're much better off taking a road team on these holiday weekends if you feel the crowd could be a factor because many simply can't show up! (On top of those who would even want to for a dismal 3-8 team that has beaten Delaware State, Eastern Michigan and Vanderbilt! You're adding Arkansas to that list? Hell no.) So -8 is all that matters and it's even gone to a TD. God help those pouring money on Mizzou moving this line down. You have no idea what you've gotten yourself into.

The Warriors -18 in a revenge spot from game 1 was GOY stuff. Good eye.

Happy thanksgiving Scal, another road team laying an 8,  now a 7 on my book,  a game like this with an Ark defense or lack thereof and a 73 OU tell me there exists a good chance Mizzou may be up a TD at some given point creating a ML PK live line.   I'm b .5 half bet ark and taking more PK live.    GL all

Bad defenses might actually be decent defenses. BUT if the offense doesn't contribute to keep up, why bother busting your hump for 4 quarters on D? This is precisely what the problem is with Purdue. Their defense held Wisconsin to almost zero points in the first quarter. Held Penn State to 17 at the Half.

But the offense simply doesn't keep up it's part of the bargain! So the D says, why even give a shi+! And that is what has happened to Missouri many times this year (and many other teams). I expect the same today.

It's a funny thing with bettors. We are masochists. We take bad teams and drive their lines DOWN the worse they play!

Look at the Browns. Their lines have consistently DROPPED as the losing has continued. -7.5 vs. the Giants on Sunday. Everyone here looked at that and said "Why not more points for Cleveland??" WE did that. The books know we will take the juicy numbers on terrible teams (and even more so on historically terrible teams like the Brows) so they open it LOW and beat us to the punch. And this is even if the bad team gets blown out! We'll chase them the next week too!

Same applies here with Missouri. The line is too low and is actually falling. We are doing that! The majority of the betting masses are masochists!

That's quite an insane thing to say.  Of course, it doesn't stop and start at the borders, but within the borders of the country -- which is all that Hillary or Trump would control -- the number of people (which is not increasing aside from immigration) -- is the primary determinant of environmental health.
