We all know who is going to win here and its Florida, I am a big Alabama fan , I would even lay the 10 points, the difference in this ball game is Tebow, he can do it all he can run the ball,pass it ,he's the best QB in America. Florida is the best team in the nation, as far as I can see, NOTHING WILL STOP THE FLORIA GATORS FROM GOING TO THE CHAMPIONSHIP

So? Big deal.

Todd Marinovich was the same way and look where that loser ended up - in prison.

BTW, do you think Tebow has the patent on this? Or, in other words, do you think the Alabama's side hasn't felt the same way?

a) Time will tell about Urban Meyer. To me, as well as most big time programs, winning % isn't the objective - the national title is. Meyer won in his 2nd year, hence not with all of his recruits and/or someone else's team. Respectable, yes. But, Saban has the same thing this year. On the other hand, Saban built LSU starting in 99 and winning it all in 04'. Meyer is an excellent coach, this is his team, and he doesn't have to play 2nd fiddle to anyone. Personally, in this situation, I'd rather have Saban.

b) Tebow or Wilson? 80% of the time, Tebow. But, it depends on what sort of offense I was running. Wilson fits this offense and runs this offense that's suited for him. It works. Tebow does at his school as well. To me, Wilson is like Ringo Starr. When the Beatles fired Pete Best and replaced them with Ringo, someone said to John Lennon, why did you do that, Pete is a much better drummer? Lennon said, you're right, Pete is, but Ringo is a better Beatle.

c) In games of this magnitude, I never look at common opponents. It's a sure fire way for me to lose. For me, regular season works better in this regard.

My final words are this... on the surface, Florida looks like a mortal lock to blow out Alabama. But, rarely do you see teams as fundamentally sound and as well coached as these guys get beat that badly. I think +10 is a good play and this will be a terrific game to watch. 1)FL is the second most penalized team in the SEC. This is bad because UGA is like the 5th worst team in the country in terms of penalties.

2) Alabama CONTROLS THE CLOCK!

 

These stat are important for backers looking for a large cover sporead. IF alabama can control the clock, they can keep this score close. Also, look for a few key penalties from FL to keep bama in a close one. Bama is the least penalized team, this means they are more disciplined. I think Saban uses tiem managemnet to keep this game in control.

B , I have a lot of respect for your capping, and I have tailed you since I found this site. You have made me money PERIOD

That said, I think John Parker Wilson is an awful QB, I have lost money on him all year. The guy gets confused easily middle field zones, doesnt throw an outs well (weak arm), and when the blitz comes whats he gonna do with his reads (dont rust him. Bama has a good offensive line (Fla has a good Defensive line). Bama has a great back in coffee (thats your whole offense).

Tebow can pass and run. He has great weapons (WR's, TE with speed and hands). Deep and RB Demps , Moody etc. Too many weapons, Bama cant take it all away.

My game plan would be to stop the running game of Alabama (stack the line), press up the middle, force Wilson to throw. Wilson will make turnovers. Once they are down two touches Bama can't come back with their passing game against a fast tough Fla D.

I see a potential blowout only because Bama is not made to play catch up. The only way i see Bama covering is that the play complete mistake free football, and have long drives which keep Fla off the field. They have to dominate the time of possession by almost a two to one ratio. I think its too much to ask. To me this is like a Super Bowl match up of the 90 Giants againts the Buffalo Bills with the K-Gun offense except Jim Kelly couldnt run like Tebow. The Giants were able to control the clock and shorten the game it was a rare thing of beauty.

Why do you think BAMA cant play catch-up?  They havent had to play catch-up all year long....They normally have the game won by half-time.

J wilson really hasnt  had too step-up this year. They run the ball well and control the clock. I do agree with you on the confidence issue of J Wilson. However, I havent seen him under too much pressure this year,so, it is hard to see if he cant handle it.
