I circled this game 2 weeks ago...been waiting to fade boise and this is the perfect time...love Nevada in this spot.. Kaepernick ranks #1 amongst active college football players in rushing touchdowns. He is second in Yards Per Carry (behind Wolf Pack teammate Vai Taua), Total Offense per Game, and Touchdowns Scored. He ranks #3 in Yards per Play and #4 in pass touchdowns and Total Number of Offensive Plays..also love the fact that he throws a 95 mph fastball...but that has nothign to with this game...lol....everyone here is drinkin the boise juice and I love it....even the last poster thinks they are playing at home....great info soph. I would not be surprised if the wolfpack win this game straight up... Boise is one of the most overrated teams every year and im sick of them...TCU on the other hand...they are legit.

Boise will have an answer for Kapernacker
I like your thinking on this game and would completely agree any other year with any other team. BUT not against this Boise State team-They know they have what they want right in their hands. They will not let any team stand in their way. I would lay 14 on the road with Boise against almost anyone in the nation at this spot with all that is on the line. BOISE EXPLODES 68-31.

Comparing the two is giving swiss cheese a bad name

I have to agree. I really think any decent team could cover 14 on Boise.
What would Boise's record be if they played Auburn, Ga, Arkansas, Florida, Miss St, LSU, Bama in the same year. 3-3 at best vs those 6

and before someone tells me that nevada offense picked up those huge numbers against cupcake defenses...
i say it's true. but...
52 pts AT HOME against #17 defense from CAL
(Most points CAL allowed since 2001)
and that was also their only home dog game this season...
just saying...
I was bout to bring this up too.. the game vs CAL..

here is something that i noticed reading what people have to say about this game all over the net, and especially here..
every poster expecting an easy, blowout win for boise, also talks about boise's 'amazing defense'. i haven't heard a whole lot of boise defense talk in the past. all this pretty much started after boise's 51-0 win vs fresno. but when i take a look at wagerline %'s i see that 73.68% of people are picking over, and that almost all of those who picked over also picked boise. so, if boise defense is so fvcking good, and everyone loves boise and over, then the conclusion is that the people are expecting something like a 64-7 boise win, which is funny. the total for this game is 68, not 48. boise is favored by 14, not by 44....

This game might be closer than a lot of people expect, but I think it's a no play for me. However, your assertion that Nevada had a good chance to win last year is incorrect. The Wolf Pack went down big early and was never in the game in terms of a chance to win. they scored a TD on the last play to slip inside the spread, that's all.
But good luck with your play.

Did you watch that game ???? Down 34-26 very late in the third quarter Nevada had the ball with 1st down at mid field with a chance to tie the game. They were down by only 11 with only 6 minutes left. That field goal by Boise happened after Nevada tunred the ball over on their own 33 yard line.
Remember, all this happened at Boise, on blue turf, where Boise is virtually unbeaten. The weather and the field conditions were horrible. Boise had and early 27-3 lead and they were outscored 23-7 in the next quarter and a half. Nevada outrushed Boise and Kaepernick had 3 passing TD's. If it wasn't for Moore's performance Boise would lose the game. The game was very very close. Boise fans celebrated like they just beat Alabama after the game. And they knew that they had no chance to play for the title. It just felt like an important and close vicotry against a big opponent. That,s how Nevada played them that night.

Speaking of Boise defense...
They allowed:
0 points against #117 offense from SJSU at SJSU
0 points against #107 offense from NMST at NMST
6 points against #113 offense from WYO at WYO
we can throw these games down the toilet...
They also alowed:
0 pts vs #64 offense of Fresno, at Boise (extremely cold weather did not help California kids by any means).
7 pts vs #11 offense of Hawaii. Looks good on paper but Hawaii offense is as one dimensional as they come. #1 in passing and #117 in rushing. So much about that Hawaii offense.
20 pts vs #55 offense of La Tech (LA Tech is nothing special but they had 25 first downs against Boise's 21 1st down)
So, those three are solid, good, but not great in my book.
Finally,
30 pts allowed against #40 offense of VT. Let them play right now and VT wins this game.
24 pts allowed against #94 offense of Oregon State. Joke !
Nevada offense is #3 overall, #2 in rushing yards per carry and #11 in passing efficiency. Not surprising when their offensive line is #1 in fewest tackles for loss allowed, #8 in sacks allowed. Nevada is #2 in 3rd down completion % and #4 in first downs gained. Nevada will score early and often. Boise can win, they can cover too, but will need over 50 pts to do so. That's not going to be easy for one simple reason. Nevada offense will not give them that many opportunities.
