Hey Lakers...hope you had a good weekend...my understanding is that Helmut posts on several websites and actually emails the people on his buddy list before he even posts on Covers...as such, by the time he posts on Covers, many people already have a head start on his playing his totals and Helmut has already played by the time you read it....nothing wrong with the way he does things, but by doing so, people are betting the totals as you read them so the effect of it being posted on Covers drives others like you to add to the "buy" orders in the market....what I am trying to say is that the economic facotrs and forces are already in motion by the time you are reading the posts so it may seem like the lines are all changing within one minute, but that is because the demand is already in motion prior to then....
I'll buy that, sounds logical...

TH...I remember you since the day I joined Covers and you're alright in my book but I strongly disagree with you and this has nothing to do with Helmut or any capper....sportsbooks do not move lines off handicappers...they move off money...it's no different than the stock market...the best stockbroker/advisor doesn't move stock prices and the best capper doesn't move lines...money moves both....when the best cappers in the world put games out or the best stockbrokers/advisors put out their buy recommendations, the prices only change when buy orders come in....I can assure you no major sportsbook is running to any website, tout etc. to move their lines off what someone handicaps a game to be...take that guy Dr. Bob in football...I don't know much about him but late Thursday afternoons he put out his games and lines moved 1-2 points...why did the lines move? It's not because the sportsbooks all said, "holy shit, Dr. Bob likes Team "X" so we have to move lines"...it's because many people and major money followed the guy so major "buy" orders came in almost simultaneously and those "buy" orders moved the line.....no capper moves lines.....the money that follows the capper moves the lines....that's my point.....if Helmut or anyone has a large enough following, it could easily lead to tens of thousands of dollars in "buy" orders flooding the market....when it comes to CBB totals, it takes approximately 10% of the amount it would normally take a team wager to move the line...that's all I was saying...no disprespect to Helmut or any capper...just an argument that the markets and lines don't move off cappers they move off money!
Stuckey...uncanny how bad your OT luck has been lately....hang in there...u r too good to let it get to you...it has to balance out in the long run.
