I came in toward the end on CBS, so didn't have many plays. Think I had one "Lock" on first half Under for the Super Bowl that year that came in. My one and only Lock win, haha! I had a couple of IDs on CBS, but think I only posted under EZCash99

I think I remember you from when Killtee was starting the thread after USC had moved on. Think my record was better during those times with Realist trolling

Oh, I don't doubt that everyone will have done better "when I wasn't tracking" lol

Its a new slate now!  Help out when you can!  I posted the first thread on the CBB page.  Hopefully Covers leaves it there.  Take the discussions over there, I guess......

Take a look at the covers NBA forum, there is a thread in there titled NBA daily contest. If you notice there are some guys that can pick if we can do the same thing here have the records posted and those that have a outstanding record the rest of us can follow I love the idea and who knows what it could turn into. To me keeping track of posted records are very important as many people claim to be good handicappers but then they're barely above the Mendoza line.

That's hilarious. Cracking up at this old stuff - Realist, Detroit Nail (and Hammer lol), UNLV fan, BMW, and the best Spits and the live blog. That guy was a certified nut job.

I agree with others that this is an awesome idea whose time has come.

I'm curious about what happened and/or why CBS deleted the old lock thread.

Definitely a great concept the only thing that might rub some people the wrong is the Lock part, other then that I like it

Penn it is good to you mon ami, we had some great times over on CBS, I dont have as much time as i did then, drank too much Appleton one night and next thing i know i was married lol

I will stay active as long as guys like you and Holmey stick around

Yep.  This is the entire idea behind it - accountability.  That plus the writeups that help us understand your expertise.  Glad to have you on board.  Go check out the first thread over on the CBB boards when you get a chance.

I wish I could post screen caps on here because I found a bunch of old CBS pages in my computer's cache memory and they are intact.  I saw the old Pile Of Frauds thread which was always a crack up too!

CBS removed ALL their discussion boards.  I had been running the LOCK Thread there during CBB from 2007-2013.  We had some really great years, and a few that were middling, and a few where the thread just deteriorated into a cesspool of name-calling and hatred.  But that's the internet, I guess!  Hoping the Covers mods will do a better job of keeping things civil than the CS ones did!

I can't believe it ! I always wondered what happened to the lock thread . I am so happy I clicked on the forum and found this thread. Good to hear from USC again. You did an amazing job over at the CBS thread and I can say with great certainty that you will again do an amazing job here. I look forward to some great insight and hopefully some profitable weeks to come!

Like the idea. I'm in. Big 12 and big 10. Not sure I would call any play a lock but I bet big on situational plays. Maybe 2-3 a month. Good luck with this

That's perfectly fine.  It's a lot better to go 3-0 on LOCKS than it is to got 10-7!  Being selective and restrained is the key to being a successful capper!

They moved it to the "Penalty Box".  I am new to Covers and am not sure why.  People are trying to get it moved back.  Hopefully Covers will move it back soon.

Its very frustrating.
