Villanova should not be in the NCAA tourney

For those who think this system has flaws just look at college football. This is a perfect system even if there are a few mistakes on who gets in. Id much rather see some mid majors who had solid years get in over nova

Nova would run all over any seed that is higher than 12 in an NCAA tourney. Lets be fucking realistic people.

Lehigh, yeah, their game against Kansas was a real barn-burner.

Oakland, the team who runs through the lower tier, yeah, they got their shit pushed in by Pitt.

Vermont and Cuse? Boy, what a great game, yawn.

Arkansas Pine Bluff? They were competitive for about 2 minutes last year.

You guys really want the most boring tournament ever. I dont. Get me the best teams in the country. Not the ones that are hot right now.

I honestly do not feel like 'Nova deserves to be in the dance.  They just are flat out a bad team right now.  They have zero heart to not be able to finish off a bad South Florida team. Just about every time down the court all we do is shoot jumpers and get back and play lousy D.  What kind of game plan is that?  And what is more frustrating is for the first time in how many years Villanova finally has a big man in Yarou that they can go dow low to.  And they do not use him the way they should.  If anyone thinks that Nova is a lock to be in the tourney they need there brain examined.  I am a huge Nova fan so this is frustrating to admit but Nova flat out sucks right now.  I have not missed a Nova game this year and if we make the tourney I can not imagine us winning more then 1 game this year.

Vermont beat syracuse a few yrs ago. One of cuse better teams also that had mcnamara and hakim warrick. Didnt butler play in a crap ass conference? Yes they did and they beat everyone on the way to a near win over duke. Colonial conf has solid teams. Old dominion looked solid last year over notre dame. Belmont went to the buzzer against duke in 2008. Oakland struggled against some top teams this year but they did win at tennesse and lost by only 1 AT mich st. Ark  pine bluff sucks and nobody is saying they are a sleeper.  Villanova is not winning ANY fucking games right now. At some point dont you at least have win A game?

And as for your last comment usually the hottest teams make the best tourney and if you arent hot at the most important time of the year you probably arent the great anyways

I left out your lehigh vs kansas comparison. Lol that was a 1 vs 16 game. Well the next round vs northern iowa was a real barn burner and who won? Not the powerhouse jayhawks

One upset a year does not a good tournament make.

Again, most of the seeds above 12 do not belong in the tourney. They would lose to more than 80% of the Big East teams, religiously.

The mention of Butler doesnt really hold water, imo. They are hardly the caliber of team we are talking about. For you to bring them up is an insult to a fantastic Butler program.

You hold an opinion about when a team should be hot, I do not. If a team has as impressive a resume as Nova, I cannot argue against them. You have to put opinions aside, just look at resumes, Nova is a tournament team.

You are insulting Northern Iowa to put them in the same mention as Lehigh.

My point on butler is people, and it was said many times before last years tourney, that they play in a joke of a conference and cant be taken seriously. They proved they had a real good team despite where they play. You can be a good team in a smaller conf with less of a resume. What good is a solid resume if they are all losses like mich st or recently nova?

People who look at Conferences instead of teams are wastes of space.

Those are good wins, but at 5 -11 or whatever they are heading down the stretch thats not really putting a great product out there for the tourney. If villanova played say george mason dont you think mason could win that game?

Not only would George Mason win.  But Wichita State and VCU both are going to get left out.  And Missouri State I believe are going to get left out.  All of which i believe are better TEAMS then Nova right now and would beat Nova if they played today.

I understand where you are coming from, but you give a team a tourney berth based on their resume. Their complete, full resume.

I think the argument for a bid is better than the argument against a bid. I mean, the best argument for them against is how they finished the year. Meanwhile you have multiple good arguments for them to get a bid - SOS, RPI, Record against top 50, Key Wins.

Its just you have more to argue for a bid than against. I think we both can agree on that.

Mason would be a great game, Mason deserves to be in. Wichita State? Yeah fucking right. Missouri State? Thats a ridiculous claim. This isnt even one of the 75 best teams in the country. Their SOS is laughable and their most impressive win is Wichita State, twice??? Thats a joke, right?

Villanova is ALREADY in and was so before the BE tournament started. 

People outside of the Big East just don't seem to "get it".  The conference is the strongest conference top to bottom probably in the past 10 years.  Villanova, although playing awful right now, could beat 95% of the teams in the tournament on any given day. 

I am a Penn State ,that is from Philly, love my Lions was at the NIT Championship 2 years back against Baylor, cuz I never thought I'd see us ever win anything ever. But I have always been a Nova fan. I'm a big sports fan, write sports for a local, so sports are my life and I don't like that 2 favorite teams shit, and I think it's phony but in one sport it's hard for me and has been all these years to cheer for PSU and Nova. I graduate in 99 and wasn't into there ball team until I was there and we sucked, always liked Nova. Funny thing is when PSU played 5 straight top 25 teams the Bryce was packed I loved it. So anyway I love this arguement, also made a killing fading Nova. I read about them everyday down here in the Big 5 they are the big guys on ,talk radio papers everywhere, so I feel like I have a little Nova info, happy got me out of some holes. But u look at this team for instance yesterday they come out blazing pushing the ball Stokes gunning 3's and Fischer playing good for once, and in the 2nd half right from the start I seen it, Jay Wright does this shit all the time up big, sreads the court and slows down the game(took the under in the 2nd half too) It's cuz I have watched him blow leads all season with this shit. Granted that one bad pass off a timeout lost it, and how you turnover the ball after a TO is horrible. They had a guy spin around wide open towarrds the benches, it's like when the game gets close now these guys assholes tighten up and they don't believe. But it goes back to their coach they scored what 20 in the second half maybe half from the FT line. They have crazy talent, not top cream of the crop talent like I thought but why do you score like 45 in the first half up 16 and just stop the pace. I know to cu the possesions but if you just stopted what got your team the big HT lead. Your team is a transcition team that shoots three's, has great ft shooters. Stokes was on fire in the first in the second they didn't even set an offense up until there was 10 on the shotclock. But I believe it doesn't matter either way if they get in if they don't (which they will) they have to find and an identity and stay with it the whole game, their will be losses like this and that horrible Rutgers game, of not. I mean WTF r u thinking ur up, they where up 12 with like 3 to goagainst Rut. I blame a lot on Jay Wright I know injuries and what not, tough conference, but watch this team they are so predictable with Stokes out if Fischer isn't scoring or even if he is if he is not on fire they can't beat anyone, when Stokes is in you can't let him light it up for 20 than back him off for 20. That game was sad and it's Jay Wright that had them spreading the court and slowing things down. I told my wife this look like Rutgers. And ontop of all this I am going to Nova just got accepted for my Masters so it's not like I have 2 teams. lol. Cuz I hate that shit and ppl changing teams. But look at PSU how the hell can MSU get in they split PSU won some big games same conf record. I don't think either deserve it but even the talk of Mich St. getting in makes me sick that team sucks. Everyone plays them like Nova and the Heat they got to win this one right...They can't lose again and they come out flat. I don't know I know I rambled here and don't talk much just read some smart guys on here some jerk off kids too but some real good shit usually. But I agree they get in cuz of the Big East and cuz they are Nova do they deserve it I'm not sure and does it matter other than are Bracket pools and betting. But PSU great year either way, lost some dumb games early or they are in for sure. Just wanted to get into this convo loved it. Sorry again for going off just a great subject could go on and on about the East Coast and Big East bias, but why bother it will never change, just like in CFB the SEC. It is what it is and Nova goes out in the First Round who should get in instead of them is what I think. I'm not sure. huge jay wright fan as well but you can not keep going into season after season with out a big man and also just letting the guards do what ever they want stokes ,fisher ,wayans dribble around and jack up three's every possesion last year it was reynolds doing it.have to eventually call plays and sit there ass if they do not listen.

If you look at Nova's resume without the name Villanova they are IN...

Yet people see Villanova and then say "well the BE already has 10 teams locked in so no need to give Nova a bid since they struggled down the stretch"
