They are included as the pre-system plays..

Thanks guys - yes they are included in "the presystem plays"

Still looking at a late game or two - we will see if anything jumps out (I no-played 3 late games that all hit yesterday so my objectivity might be questionable )

Here are today's system plays:
Feb 3rd: PLAY AGAINST #201 Middle Tenn St -12.5
SYSTEM PLAY: UL Monroe +12.5

PLAY AGAINST #189 Western Kentucky -10.5
SYSTEM PLAY: South Alabama +10.5

PLAY AGAINST #278 Tenn Chatt -12.5
SYSTEM PLAY: Georgia Southern +12.5

Kine, or anyone, am I doing something wrong here. I seeing on Kempom the rankings on Western Kentucky is not 189, its Houston.  Also seeing #278 as Florida International, not Tenn Chatt.

my guess is that the rankings on kenpom change daily and they were the rankings as of last night.  w. kentucky is now 193.  just my educated guess

I posted that last night so either I am terrible at transferring the numbers from kenpom to this covers thread (very possible) or kenpom updated and the ranking slighty changed.  You are correct about the updated current kenpom rankings and it doesn't effect either, they are still "presystem" plays.

REGARDING LINE MOVEMENTS -

Yes, it's annoying not to get the best number, BUT....

if Georgia Southern were getting 6.5 points instead of 12.5

and

if South Alabama were getting 6.5 points instead of 10.5

and

if UL Monroe were getting 6.5 points instead of 12.5

... we would still be playing all 3 "presystem plays," correct?

EXACTLY right - thought about that myself. 

But also remember the beauty of the system over 50+ games has been that we have gotten anywhere from .5 to 2-pt more on our underdog making them an even better value.  Greensboro went from 5 to 6.5 and Drake moved from 5 to 6.5 on Sunday and from 7.5 to 8 yesterday.  Sac St moved 1-pt etc.  If lines now drop .5 to 1-pt we can estimate that we are in fact losing 1-2 pts of value (which is why if this trend continues we might need to grab these plays when they open to preserve some extra "value").

GA southern not looking good, but of course the other team is like 5 for 8 from 3 point land and shooting 70% also.
