Everyone saw the Tenn vs Memphis game on Saturday and after watching that I really think Vandy will be one of my biggest bets this season. Tennesse just traveled to their undefeated instate rival #1 Memphis and pulled a win out of their ass. If it wasn't for one of the craziest travels I've ever seen I think Memphis might have covered. Same can be said about a few missed free throws. The point is that everyone and their mama was on Tennesse for that game and they pulled it off like a magician. This is still fresh in everyones minds and Vegas knows this. Now they have to travel to another instate rival with an undefeated home record. After their hot 17-0 streak, Vandy has lost a lot of respect in the average betters eyes ever since their ot extravaganza loss at Rupp. This loss really hurt Vandys confidence sending them into a 4 out of 5 loss funk. Granted, they did play at some tough venues cinluding at tenn, at fla, and at ole miss. Their next game was the turning point of their season. They had to travel to georgia with the feeling of please don't pull a Clemson in their back of their mind. They took down the tough bulldogs with more ease then tenn then went on to beat Kentucky, Florida, and Georgia again. That Kentucky win was the most lopsided loss in Kentuckys history, I believe. That game singlehandedly restored all the confidence and team play they had been missing. With that being said, Vandy watched that game we all watched as well and you know what they were probably rooting for tenn to win so It would make their tuesday matchup even sweeter. Look for Vandy to come out like gang busters and Tenn to come out flat after taking down Goliath and their 47 game home court winning streak. Shan Foster, Andrew Ogilvy, and Alex Gordon get the job done. They shut down Lofton to some degree the first go around and Memphis shut him down on saturday. I don't see Tenn winning this game unless Lofton goes off from behind the arc like the man he once was last season. The letdown factor, the revenge factor, the public pounding tenn, and the hungry undefeated sec rival equal a bet on the commodores for me. Talk me out of this if you can, but it seems I already made up my mind. The public will pound the crap out of the vols at over 70% probably. Probably will open Tenn-2 though in my opinion. It may even be Tenn-4 by game time? I would even take Vandy-2 easy here, but we all know that won't be the line. What do you guys think.....kinda early but I'm really feelin this one.

pa - I figure it'll be about Tenn -3.5 to 4.5 range. . . I'd probably need 6 to comtemplate taking Vandy, even at home, where I agree they do have an awesome HCA.

not too worried about that loss at Tenn. If the vols are making their 3's they simply just bury teams at home. Same thing can be said for the commodores. Heres what this revenge situation reminds me of......texas getting smoked at A&M then smoking the shit out of them on their home floor. Home court advantage all day long for teams with explosive offenses.

Jet, I just don't see it. Vandy is 23-4, and this can't be a "look ahead" game since Tenn lost to Kentucky coming up. I heard Pearle talking about Vandy on the radio, and these guys are SO on the radar. Try saying "Commodores with revenge" with a straight face, it's hard to do..............
We'll know more soon, great post, lots of good insight.

I'm very familiar with both these teams and Shan Foster is the key to Vandy winning. He didn't do anything big in their first game and that was one reason they got blasted. Vandy does have a very awkward gym, that is for sure.I do think Tennessee will come out flat, but Bruce Pearl doesn't let his team lose at Vandy especially after this highly emotional win at Memphis. I had Tenn ML against Memphis and I'll tell you that I would not touch Vandy here..even if it appears to be a letdown spot. Vandy just doesn't have the depth or talent that Tennessee has when it comes down to it.
I'll say Tenn by 5+ in this one.
Bol whatever you take.

I can almost guarantee this game will have a reverse line move...it has all the makings since betting splits will almost certainly be around 70% in favor of the Vols... this will close at Tenn -1 or a pick
no way it makes it to 3.5 or 4 IMO

.....and the way this year has gone, Tennessee cashes easily
+2 is nowhere near enough for me to take Vandy. Tennessee or no play for sure. There will be much better games out there.

very possible... look at K-State tonight... the elite teams are winning and covering this year it seems when laying pts on the road
Tenn is superior to Vandy, but I actually think Vandy has the weapons to do it... they were blowing out Florida at one point when they came to Nashville as #1 last year
This one will come down to the wire methinks
