I have not seen one cashable ticket posted this week by a proline player.

Hundreds if not thousands of dollars wagered and no return at all.

That is hard to do.

The guy above goes 4-1 and gets nothing for it.

That is a shame.

When I say "vegas line", I'm simply referring to the running number that most sports books are currently holding.  Despite that number fluctuating, the pro-line number does not move.
It's a basis for comparison to look for differences between the two.

No offense habs but that just doesn't make any sense to me....there are a 100 different places to get a bet down around here and they are got a slightly different number or juice....I can see playing pinny vs bodog or something like that but not just saying VEGAS in general...GL

Quick question vegasmaxx.....Do you play proline? my guess is no. So why in the fuck would it matter what he says. It does not apply to you. But thanks for stopping by and nit-picking things that have absolutely no bearing on your own personal gambling. Because lines are always soooooooooooooo far apart from each other.

I play proline as well.....it's sooo hard to hit more than 3 on a card.  and you can play 2 games for X 2 your money......the Max of $100 per ticket X 2 is quick easy money.  Going more than 4 is insane.  It hits sometimes...but considering it's like a 30% odds...stick to 3 or under for larger money...

Of course I am saying this as I am filling out a 12 PS gamer for my $2 hoping for $2000

Not angry at all. Why are you so offended by someone saying "vegas line"? Does it concern you? Do you play proline? Up here in Canada, in most newspapers you will see "proline lines" and wait for it........ "vegas lines". The reason for this, I would guess would be because there are so many books out there, that it would be hard to put every single line onto one page. But hey thats just me thinking outside the box. I mean why would no one else ask if it was so confusing.

Maxx, I'm not concerned about the juice.  And I know that books will offer different spreads throughout the day/night as bets continue to come in.  I normally use the best home line stated by covers live odds when I'm posting my thread.  
As stated before, "Vegas" is simply used as a point of comparison and should not be taken as a literal term.  For people betting online, I would hope they are smart enough to search out there own best odds and not refer to mine as a reflective and current odd to bet with.
I appreciate your concern.  I'm just trying to give insight to fellow Pro-liners who might not know about a point or two difference between the spreads offered.

its not even 2x your money because you don't even get your original wager back,bet $100 on 2 games , pays out $200, so you're making  profit of $100 betting on 2 games!!!!! pure insanity

nothing wrong with that other than for 2 bucks  the same wager would net you almost twice as much with a legit offshore.

What I find very hard to comprehend is why anyone plays this game at all. The deck is so badly in favor of the house that even a high percentage handicapper will not beat this game. the occasional lucky shot taker may take a pool or a big 2 buck ticket.

As you can see going back several weeks of these threads is that no one person posting in them has shown any return on investment what so ever. This threads are a living example of why this game should not be a viable wagering option. Excluding some of the very poor handicapping found in them they expose daily a system and a mindset that feeds government coffers at an alarming rate. 

I really wish you guys would understand the futility of your efforts here.

We wish you guys would be a little more open minded as to why online betting is not an option for some of us.  

I make my picks from prison.  There, I said it.  Does that answer your question.  I am very limited as to what sites they allow me to access.  Oddly enough, proline.ca is allowed b/c of its govt. ties. I had to do the unthinkable just to get the internet available to some of us in here.

This isn't a pity thread on how proline sucks and the odds suck even more.  Feel sorry for us if you want, just keep it to yourself.

Gob, you and others who know me realize that my above post was complete BS.  I was just trying to make a point that regardless of Pro-line and its method of madness, other covers members need to mind their own business.  We're all here for one reason.

I can appreciate that members are just trying to provide some advice to a more profitable way of gambling/betting but it truly is a waste of time.  We Pro-line for a reason.
